33 Minutes - Protecting America In The New Missile Age

Posted: 15 Feb 2009 08:26 PM PST

A ballistic missile from a foreign enemy would take 33 minutes to

reach the United States. With each passing day, this becomes a

growing danger to America, yet our government has failed to

build the missile defense systems capable of defending us

against such attacks.

Our enemies are attempting to stockpile arsenals that threaten

our freedom and prosperity. North Korea and Iran are the

most prominent, but this also includes Russia, China and other

nations that have missiles capable of killing Americans in very

large numbers and threatening our allies.

The proliferation of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles to rogue

states such as Iran and North Korea pose a grave danger to the

lives of all Americans.

North Korea is currently developing a long-range ballistic missile

that could soon carry a nuclear warhead all the way to Alaska or

California. Iran already has missiles that can reach Europe, and

could soon acquire nuclear weapons. These countries could share

their missile and nuclear technologies with terrorists, who would

in turn be able to directly threaten New York City and other

American cities with short-range missiles.

Once terrorist-supporting states get their hands on a nuclear

missile, they would be free to attack us and our allies with

impunity, knowing full well we would think twice before sending

our armed forces into a country that could retaliate with nuclear

missiles. They would be emboldened to threaten their neighbors,

assert dominance in their region, and further destabilize dangerous

situations. Thus, they would gain sanctuary from which to export

more terrorism.

Explosive Device Goes Off In California Prison

Posted: 15 Feb 2009 07:30 PM PST

An improvised explosive device went off inside a federal prison in

California during a search Saturday, according to federal authorities.

No one was injured, the authorities told CNN.

The incident happened in the recreation area of the Victorville

Federal Penitentiary. Bureau of Prisons spokesperson Traci Billingsley

said the device was found by a staff member during a “routine search

of inmate property”. She said it “detonated upon discovery.”

A bomb squad from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department

and FBI bomb technicians were called to the prison to examine the

device and make sure it didn’t pose any further danger. They

remained inside the prison as of 9:30 p.m.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said an investigation was under

way. She said the incident is not terrorism-related.

Billingsley said the prison was locked down at the time the device was

found. She could not say what prompted the lockdown, or if there

was any connection to the search. No inmates were in the area

when the explosion occurred.

“The prison remains secure,” she said.

She said she could not recall a previous incident where an improvised

explosive device was found inside a prison.

Kuwaiti Professor Fantasizes Of Biological Attack On US

Posted: 15 Feb 2009 07:20 PM PST

In this speech Kuwaiti Professor Abdallah Nafisi openly speaks of how

he fantasizes of a biological attack at the White House and prays for the

bombing of a nuclear plant on Lake Michigan. Perhaps even more

disturbing is the laughter his speech draws from the audience.
