A Warm Welcome to Our
the United American Committee!
Brigitte Gabriel, President, ACT! for America
I am delighted to announce
the addition of the members of the United American Committee (UAC) to the
ACT! for America citizen action network.
A week ago Jesse
Petrilla, the founder of the United American Committee, sent an email to
UAC members telling them of this exciting news. In that email he wrote:
“I am very pleased to announce that in order to build cohesion,
and keep the members of United American Committee active in the fight
against Islamic jihad, we will be adding the UAC membership to the ranks
of ACT! for America, thus helping to further strengthen and unite the
efforts against our enemies.
While UAC will remain a separate
entity, our members will now benefit from receiving ACT! for America
updates, and are encouraged to find and get involved with local ACT!
chapters. Soon you will be receiving a welcoming message from ACT!
Jesse founded the United American Committee in
2004 with the goal, as he said in his email to the UAC members, “to spark
a national movement against jihad…” As he further stated in his email,
“that effort now exists, and ACT! for America is leading the way.”
We in ACT! for America applaud Jesse’s efforts over the past five
years and are thankful and humbled by the words he shared about us in his
email. Our UAC friends are to be commended for their patriotism and
activism in the face of the rising threat of radical Islam, and I know
there have been instances where UAC and ACT! for America members have been
working together toward this common goal.
As a consequence of this
action by Jesse and the UAC, the ACT! for America network is now bigger
and stronger. I have sent an email message to the UAC members, welcoming
them to our network and encouraging them to get involved with our chapters
or even to explore starting ACT! for America chapters where they live.
I’d like to close by quoting one last time from Jesse’s email to
the UAC membership:
“I hope that UAC members, united with members
of ACT! for America, will be a force to be reckoned with on the grassroots
That is my sincere hope as well. I applaud Jesse’s
expression of unity and desire for us to work together. In the struggle
against radical Islam we have many challenges ahead of us, but with that
kind of spirit I have no doubt that we will prevail.
