Visit our News page May 16, 2013 “I have HOPE” We recently received a card and contribution from a woman in Illinois, who wrote: She has hope because ACT! for America is successfully fighting back against the threat of radical Islam. Despite the fact that there’s more information available about radical Islam today than ever before, it will take organized ACTION to prevail in this struggle. Education is necessary to combat this threat, but it’s not sufficient. Education alone won’t change faulty portrayals of Islamic history in school textbooks…or protect our free speech rights against those who want to silence us…or stop sharia law from being applied in our courtrooms…or foil terrorist attacks…or keep organizations like CAIR out of our children’s classrooms. It will take organized, strategic action—which is the heart of the ACT! for America mission and the linchpin of our success. Over the past several weeks we have presented to you eight threats posed by radical Islam, and what ACT! for America is doing to push back against these threats. We’ve asked for your financial support to help us continue these winning efforts. The evidence is clear (see, for example, our Victory Timeline)—our strategy and action plan is working. From a school principal removing a book that contained numerous historical errors about Islam, to our leading the grassroots effort that has gotten ALAC (American Laws for American Courts) passed in Tennessee, Kansas, Arizona and Oklahoma… …ACT! for America is accomplishing what few thought possible six years ago. We’re sure that groups like CAIR and ISNA didn’t think this was possible! So if you’ve already made a contribution during our Spring Pledge Drive, we thank you! But if you haven’t, could you do so today?
