A French policewoman has been injured after a motorist deliberately ran her over near President Hollande's residence in Paris. Here's what we know so far:
7:02 am
A motorist has deliberately driven at a policewoman outside the French President's residence in central Paris.
The female officer was injured in the incident last night at Francois Hollande's city home, according to French media.
A reporter on BFM TV said the car had been driving the wrong way along a one-way system.
Two people have been arrested.
The incident came as France remained on high security alert exactly a week after the attack on the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Three days of violence followed in attacks by three Islamist militants, leaving a total of 17 people dead.
It is not yet clear whether this incident is connected to those attacks.

Two suspects still at large
There are thought to have been four people inside the car, who fled the on foot after it hit the policewoman.
Le Parisien reports that the driver and the front-seat passenger - both 19-year-old men - were caught by police on motorbikes, and arrested.
But two others, thought to have been in the back of the car, are still at large this morning.

Driver 'looked into officer's eyes'
Stephanie Weber-Boyer, from the police union Alliance, has told news outlets "there is no doubt about the intention of the driver [to] hit my colleague".
She told France Info: "My colleague said that the driver looked at her in the eyes, this is what allows us to say he made this gesture deliberately."
But she added: "You can not tell if it is related to what happened last week."

Officer was in uniform
The police officer injured in the incident is widely reported to be 37-years-old.
She was in uniform when she was targeted.
She was hospitalised for injuries to her wrists, knees and back, and remains in hospital this morning.

Car found abandoned
The black Renault Clio used in the attack was found abandoned a few metres from where the policewoman was hit.
It's reported the vehicle had driven the wrong way along a one-way system near President Hollande's palace.
It is not yet clear whether this incident has any links to last week's devastating terror attacks, but with France on high security alert it it sure to raise questions about how a vehicle acting erratically could get near to the Elysee Palace.

Andy Lines
Incident 'adds to apprehension in the city'
Our chief reporter in Paris, Andy Lines, says the feeling in the city is that this incident is not linked to last week's attacks, but adds to the feeling of unease in the French capital at a very difficult time.
He says: "Security still very tight here - even security guards at every supermarket, checking shoppers' bags going IN to the shop."
8:26 am
Hollande visited injured WPC
President Hollande went to see the injured policewoman after she was hit, according to Le Parisien.
As she was given first aid he wished her a speedy recovery.
