EVENT: Rally to Protest Honeywell's Business in Iran
WHEN: Monday, June 21st 2010,
1:00-2:00 pm
WHERE: Honeywell Headquarters, 101 Columbia Road, Morristown, NJ
Honeywell has refused to cease its business in Iran and is
participating in projects to develop Iran's energy industry. A Honeywell
subsidiary, Universal Oil Products (UOP) is currently engaged in expanding and
upgrading the Arak Refinery in Iran. Honeywell's decision to continue to make
key contributions to the development of Iran's oil industry is inappropriate
considering the overwhelming bipartisan support in the U.S. Congress to
economically isolate Iran's oil and natural gas industry.
Honeywell's decision is especially egregious considering that Honeywell does
more business with the U.S. Government than any other company currently active
in Iran. UANI previously
called on the Pentagon to debar Honeywell from U.S. Government
contracts.
In response to Honeywell's
irresponsible decision, individuals are taking action to personally deliver a
clear and united message to Honeywell that its decision to do business in Iran
is wrong. Join
UANI, the
No Nukes for Iran teen advocacy group and a coalition of New Jersey community organizations on Monday to protest Honeywell's business in Iran.
