I’m hoping that the IMPORTANCE of what I’m writing you today—and what’s at stake RIGHT NOW—will be enough to grab your attention so you’ll take a few minutes to read the rest of this email. Why? Because we are at a very critical time in our effort to defeat radical Islam. How do I know? Because I’ve been involved in dozens of hotly contested political campaigns and legislative efforts since 1986. And every one of them had pivotal points where the fight was won or lost. Early this year we introduced legislation titled “American Laws for American Courts” in over two dozen states. The bill prohibits state courts from using foreign laws, and by implication sharia law, in court decisions in areas such as family law. We succeeded in getting the bill passed in Tennessee and Arizona and came close to passage in several other states—and with more resources we would have succeeded in those states. This is a GIANT step in erecting a firewall against sharia law in America. How do I know? Because of the intensity, ferocity, and dishonesty of the push back coming from our opposition. They know how important these victories are. Muslim Brotherhood front organizations and their enablers have become so frightened by our victories they are pulling out the stops in a desperate, fever pitch effort to try to keep us from winning any more victories. For instance, they have put out at least five so-called “reports” in just the past five months that claim to document a rising “Islamophobia” in America. What these reports amount to is a slick disinformation, name-calling propaganda campaign designed to intimidate organizations like ACT! for America. A state representative in Michigan, a Muslim, went so far as to preposterously and falsely claim that support for “American Laws for America Courts” is “racism at its core.” Our opponents know what’s at stake—and the stakes right now are HIGH. They know if we succeed in erecting legislative firewalls against sharia across the country, the efforts of the Muslim Brotherhood—to impose sharia law on America—will be severely damaged! Will we be able to continue to stoke the fires of our momentum? Or will the coordinated propaganda campaign of our opponents seize the momentum from us? Part of the answer depends on you. With our current level of resources, we believe we can get “American Laws for American Courts” passed in at least six states in 2012. But it’s clear our opponents are going to employ every propaganda tactic they can to deceive legislators, the media, and the public, to keep this from happening.
