In the UK, lawmakers established a national day of memory to remember the victims of honor violence and to raise awareness of the problem. In the US, honor violence is a crime that goes unnoticed and unrecognized. Women and girls are beaten, burned with acid and murdered right under our noses, but it is all too often overlooked. Please sign our petition calling on Congress to create a national day of memory for women and girls killed in the name of honor so that we can raise awareness and put an end to honor violence in the US.
