FBI: 30 ISIS Terrorists Arrested or Killed on US Soil Leading up to July 4th Terror Threats
Some of the terror suspects arrested in the United States over the past several months.
According to USA Today:
Federal authorities have warned local law enforcement officials across the country about a heightened concern involving possible terror attacks targeting the July 4th holiday, a U.S. law enforcement official said.The FBI has reportedly setup 56 command centers at its various field offices at the locations on the following map (unconfirmed). This is on a weekend when many federal agents would normally be at home with their families.
While there was no specific or credible threat of attack, the official said the intelligence bulletin prepared by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI alerted local colleagues to the ongoing threats posed by the Islamic State and other homegrown extremists. The official was not authorized to comment publicly.
More disturbing is the sheer number of ISIS supporters that have been arrested or killed on US soil leading up to this weekend.
Of course, there are the high profile cases, the two ISIS sympathizers, Elton Simpson, 30, and Nadir Soofi, 34, who were shot and killed by police after they attacked a free speech event in Texas and the radical jihadist, Usaamah Rahim, 26, who attacked FBI counter-terror agents with a knife in Boston before being shot dead.
However, most people probably don’t realize that no fewer than 30 people have been arrested for supporting ISIS or plotting terror attacks or killed by police this year alone.
Just days after US authorities issued the July 4th warning, coordinated ISIS attacks were carried out on three continents costing over 200 lives including 30 British citizens and 1 French citizen.
