Concerned,
Great
news!
Andy's Law has passed both the North Carolina House and Senate and
has been signed into law.
Even better,
it contains an amendment that allows the North Carolina National
Guard to carry firearms to protect themselves while on duty. This is
a great victory on the heels of the Chattanooga shooting.
Gov. Pat McCrory signs House Bill
371 as (left to right) Rep. Chris Whitmire, Rep. John Torbett, Rep.
Larry Pittman, Rep. Michael Speciale, Public Safety Sec. Frank
Perry and Sen. Dan Soucek look on.

This law will
give law enforcement and the victims of terrorism a new, powerful
tool to hold those who provide material support to
terrorism
accountable for their actions.
This victory would not have been possible without the hard work of
Rep. Chris Whitmire, our team in North Carolina, and the thousands
upon thousands of you who flooded the legislature with calls and
letters!
This is what sets ACT
for America apart from other groups. You can blog, you
can draw cartoons, you can be a news outlet, you can run inflammatory
ads, you can hope your enemies listen to your complaints and give in,
but if you want real change, you need a grassroots organization that
cultivates activists and relationships with law makers and has the
technology to organize and activate tens of thousands of them at the
right moment that makes things actually happen.
This is a real concrete thing that deters the bad guys while
empowering the good guys. ACT
for America is committed to securing our nation while
empowering our citizens and our military.
In just 7
years, ACT
for America
has been responsible for the passage of 42 bills in over 20 states!
Please support our hard work to help us keep success stories like
this coming. We are only as strong as our supporters. Click
