Kakapo falls IN LOVE with Photographer
This is hilarious.

This parrot is a Kakapo,, the only flightless parrot in the world,, and they are also nocturnal. There are ONLY 125 or so, left of this entire family (latin = Strigops habroptila ) of psittacines.
Their range is 3 very small regions in New Zealand,, and they are critically endangered.
Which means,, they are on the brink of extinction in the wild.
Aviculturists are working breeding programs to save this species, and have reported success.
Kakapoos readily re-produce in captivity, *see video*, LOLOL
which will make the task of increasing the populations easier with careful planning.
