Sue Myrick, co-chair of the U.S. House of Representatives Anti-Terrorism Caucus, put out the release below, connecting the dots between the spate of recently-foiled terrorist plots. Rep. Myrick is one of many in the House and Senate who do in fact “get it.” Thanks to Lisa Piraneo, our Director of Government Relations on Capitol Hill, we are in regular communication with such Members in both the House and the Senate — as well as working hard to educate other Members. In fact, yesterday and today Lisa has been coordinating briefings on the shariah finance issue with numerous congressional staff. These briefings are being presented by Joy Brighton, our shariah finance expert and the person you see on several of the shariah finance videos (www.actforamerica.org/stopshariahnow). Briefing congressional staff is a vitally important educational tactic in our ongoing efforts to advance legislation in Congress that pushes back against radical Islam.
