There are a few things that we need to get straight and say out loud.
First of all, an overwhelming majority of terror attacks since 9/11 have been performed by radical Muslims. Second of all, no one has the right to use the excuse of religion to cause physical bodily harm, or threaten any other individual.
There is no reason why these two things are politically incorrect to acknowledge. These are simple facts which must be agreed upon by those of us who embrace western values.
The past few weeks we were faced with another failed terrorist attack. Yet some of our leaders, particularly Attorney General Eric Holder, the individual who sets the tone for our system of justice, has shown he will do everything in his power to avoid using the words "radical Islam." Heaven forbid he calls a spade a spade.
Then we saw South Park's 200th episode which mocked the ridiculous level of intolerance held by radical Muslims. As a backlash to a death threat that the creators have received, many groups have joined together to support "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day," this Thursday, to show that radical Muslims do not control our freedom of speech. To raise awareness about the importance of freedom of speech and how radical Muslims have crossed the line, we have created an important video that everyone should see.
We encourage you to forward it to your friends and family and get the message out. We will not tolerate intolerance. We support creativity not violence. Encourage individuals who are offended by other videos to make their own videos, write in blogs, and write to newspapers, because that is freedom of speech. And that is the American way.
Why Would Anyone Want to Blow Up Times Square?
by Daniel Pipes |
When news comes of Muslims engaging in violence, the triad of politicians, law enforcement, and media invariably presumes that the perpetrator suffers from some mental or emotional incapacity.
Instead, I argue, they should begin with a presumption of jihadi intent. That is, the default expectation should be ideological passion, not insanity. Spreading Islam and applying Islamic law are the goals. Of course, some crazy Muslims exist and they do engage in violence, but they constitute a microscopic percentage of the 15,247 Muslim terrorist incidents since 9/11… |
Should the U.S. government now develop a special program of domestic aid for Muslims?
by Hugh Fitzgerald |
Well, now we know why Faisal Shahzad did what he did. For god's sake, you don't have to be Robert Pape to know that Islam had nothing to do with it. It was loss of status. It was poverty. Here was poor Faisal Shahzad, the son of a high-ranking Pakistani Air Force Officer, who no doubt got special treatment as a "student" in the first place.
And then he went back to Pakistan, only to return to the U.S. and finally obtain that long-sought thing, American citizenship, with that silly Oath of Allegiance those stupid Infidels insist on administering, and he was off to the races, he was in the goldene Medina, oops, wrong immigrants, the goldene Mekka and Medina, and nothing could stop him. |
Can Your Religion Take a Joke? |
Humor is extremely subjective and can often touch on very sensitive issues. What is funny in one culture may be offensive in another. However a line exists between a response that is acceptable and one that is not. We made this video to highlight what happens when radical Muslims not only lose the ability to laugh at themselves, but extinguish freedom of speech by resorting to pure violence.
Pass this video on to your friends and family. Take action. Celebrate freedom of speech by raising awareness today.
