Exclusive: Mojave Desert War Memorial Stolen - $100,000 Reward Offered

The Editors

The Mojave Desert War Memorial, after standing in place for 75 years to honor our war dead, has been vandalized and stolen. You can help bring the thieves to justice!

Just weeks after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling allowing the Mojave Desert War Memorial to stay in the Mojave National Preserve, the seven-foot monument was stolen. During the night on Sunday, May 9th, vandals cut through the metal bolts holding the metal pipe cross to the top of the memorial's Sunrise Rock and carried it away.

There is, of course, speculation that someone who disagreed with the SCOTUS ruling is responsible for the theft.

Because of the heinous nature of this crime and the contempt it represents not only to the rule of law, but to all living and deceased military personnel and their families, a donor to FamilySecurityMatters.org - who is an anonymous U. S. military veteran, wounded and a recipient of the Silver Star Medal - is offering a $100,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for its theft.
