and State Dept. were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S.
consulate in Benghazi, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had
claimed credit for the attack, official emails show.
In analyzing the Benghazi
scandal, it is crucial to highlight not only the dangers of relying on
jihadist armed gangs for American security in Benghazi, but also the
betrayal of American principle undertaken by the Obama administration in
setting such a policy in place.
