Given the gravity and immediacy
of the issue, the bishops are asking Congress to act now by incorporating
language repealing the regulation into "must-pass" legislation.
Democratic elections do not
necessarily lead to democratic outcomes, but the linkage of democracy to
progress made that hard to see.
As the realities and costs of
the Affordable Healthcare Act-Obamacare-kick in, when he leaves office,
he will be remembered for inflicting pain and suffering on Americans.
"Israel Apartheid" is
a hoax, a lie, a bunch of bull. So why are Jewish leaders telling
students to hold their fire? To "make friends, not arguments?"
If we don't have a 'debt
crisis' today since we have added $7 trillion in national debt in 4 years
under Obama, after adding $6 trillion in 8 years under Bush , when will
we have a debt crisis...?
Presidents learn pretty quickly
that the euphoria of winning re-election is quickly followed by the
diminishing power of a lame-duck term.
One of the greatest challenges
they bring to our attention is maintaining a balance between living
within a hair's breadth of death daily and at the same time the ability
to embrace life.
Unless Obama has completely
changed from his life-long, pro-Islam beliefs, (which we know he has not)
then Israel is in for diplomatic and national security trouble.
I
offer a warm greeting to my brother cardinals and bishops, the priests,
deacons, men and women religious, and all the lay faithful.
