“Political correctness is just tyranny with manners.”

~ Charlton Heston ~
The First Amendment was not just a legal safeguard against government abuses, but a statement that an open society is best. The letter of the law protects the people from government intervention, but the spirit of the law is an argument for an open society in which the freedom to worship, to speak and to protest against the government make all our freedoms possible. The left aspires to a society in which dissent is suppressed. And a society without dissent is totalitarian whether it is ruled by the hateful mob of the Two Minutes Hate or by Big Brother.
An End to Discrimination against Women in the Middle East
Instead of benefitting from an Arab Spring, women have seen their problems worsen as extreme Islamists have become more influential in a number of countries. No major improvement has taken place in the lives of women. Gross inequality still exists largely because of the impact of Sharia law. Women are subordinated to their fathers and husbands. In some countries women can only marry with the consent of their fathers or male relatives. They are forbidden to marry non-Muslim men.

The Hypocrisy of the Feminist Response to Islam’s Oppression of Women
Some of their members tell me that since they are standing against the sexism of Muslim barbarians, as a feminist I should be on their side. When I disagree, I am invariably informed I deserve be shipped to Afghanistan and stoned to death. I don’t think Laurie Penny should be shipped to Afghanistan and stoned to death. I’m just sorry that she doesn’t have more concern about women who are already in Afghanistan, or Iran, or Sudan, and in danger of being stoned to death — concern enough, at least, to avoid demonizing their defenders.
Ibn Warraq Takes on Fact, Fiction, and Freedom
Crusaders “are always depicted as barbarians” in histories of the era, Warraq notes.  Nonetheless, the “Crusades were a reaction against over three hundred years of jihad when the Eastern Christians were persecuted, and hundreds of churches destroyed.”   This jihad, moreover, continued following the Crusades when Muslims went on “occupying far more territory in Europe than the Western settlers had ever held in Syria and Palestine.”  Crusades were “never a war of conversion, rather a rightful attempt to recover Christian territory which had been injuriously seized in the past.”

Benghazi – The Signs of Al Qaeda
In combination with the quintessential photo of the assailant using the al Qaeda jihadist hand gesture, the messaging was clear that it was not an anti-Islam film protest. Of course, you have to suspend political correctness to be able to interpret the signs that are literally on the wall. Unfortunately, training on Islamist identifiers is currently prohibited under the Obama administration, which is why obvious signs continue to go unrecognized.
FBI investigates military-style attack on California power station
The FBI is investigating a ‘military-style’ attack on a California electric power facility earlier this year.  The April 16 attack saw as many as two gunmen storm the PG&E Metcalf substation after severing phone service and fire several dozen rounds at transformers. This knocked out 911 and landline service o the substation, as well as cell phone service to the surrounding area. PG&E employees had no means to call for help when, at 1am, as many as two gunmen began their attack.
CAR conflict: Unicef says children 'beheaded' in Bangui
At least two children have been beheaded in the Central African Republic's capital as violence sinks to a "vicious new low", the UN has said. The CAR is ruled by Muslim ex-rebel leader Michel Djotodia, who seized power in March forcing then-President Francois Bozize, who came from the majority Christian population, to flee into exile.

First, they murder and then whine about islamophobia. Slaughter, then school us on racist-islamophobic-anti-muslim-bigotry. Consider if Christian groups around the world started beheading people while screaming things like "In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." What would that say about Christianity?
10 Truths Mainstream Comic Books Evade to Promote “Muslim Superheroes”

The Muslim terrorist is a cliché. But only in real life. And in post-9/11 comic books, “Muslim superheroes” are becoming a cliché. As a cartoonist and as a recovered Muslim working on an anti-jihad graphic novel called The Infidel, featuring Pigman, I’ve identified certain truths that Marvel and DC Comics have to evade in order to shove their “Muslim superheroes” down the throats of their readers.

The Campaign against Gender Segregation at UK Universities will persist to press on until there is no room for segregation of the sexes at universities, including by organizing teams of sex apartheid busters and a huge march and rally against gender apartheid on 8 March 2014, International Women’s Day.
Danish Muslim Apostate Faces Hate Speech Charges
Hassan’s case presents speech codes functioning not just as a de facto blasphemy, but also as a de facto apostasy law protecting Islam.  How, after all, can an atheist like Hassan, who says that there is “something wrong with Islam,” decide upon his religious views without rigorous testing of all faiths?  For that matter, how could anyone answer Hassan’s call for a “reformation” in an Islam that “refuses to renew itself” without similar scrutiny?  Such questions aside, Hassan remains committed to his criticisms, stating that he does not “care about getting convicted of racism.” Muslims threatening violence can likewise “all come and get me if they want.  I don’t give a s**t about these morons.”  “I know these people,” Hassan adds, “They can’t handle criticism…they’re not interested in dialogue.”
Erdoğan Is in Trouble
Under Erdoğan, Turkey gradually adopted policies that amounted to a wholesale attempt to Islamize the country: putting restrictions on the sale of alcohol, enhancing the status of religious schools, encouraging the establishment of Muslim-oriented institutions of learning, and nominating Islamists to sensitive positions in the public sector.  Many Turks started complaining about growing authoritarianism at home. This was particularly felt in the Turkish media that was subject to intimidation and takeover attempts. Journalists were sent to jail under a variety of charges.
Terror Wave in Russia
There have now been three major jihad terror attacks in Russia in four days. The attacks are a grim reminder of how vulnerable crowded public places are worldwide to jihad mass murder — and an indication of what the United States could look like sooner or later. They were warned. We have been warned as well. But we aren’t paying attention to those warnings. To heed them would be “Islamophobic.”
“Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia,
should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law,
then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law. Russia does not
need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges,
or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'.
We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to
survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the
lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative
body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first,
observing that the minorities are not Russians.”

Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian
Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

France: The Looming Battle over Muslim Integration
"Immigration used to go hand-in-hand with integration into French culture. That was the rule of the game. Many of the new arrivals no longer want to play by that rule. If the immigrants are in the majority in their neighborhoods, how can we integrate them? … Many Muslims in Europe are re-Islamizing themselves. … The left does not want to accept that there is a clash of civilizations. "The report has opened yet another chapter in the long-running debate over multiculturalism in France, which has the largest Muslim population in Western Europe.

David Suzuki, Earth Martyr

Suzuki has recently found himself on the defensive, reduced to ad hominen attacks in an attempt to camouflage what critics have been saying for years: that he has inadequate knowledge of the climate science about which he has spent many years pontificating and from which he has made a sizable personal profit.

Five Signs of Hope (Maybe) for Europe by Bruce Bawer
Every now and then readers of this site, while thanking me for my coverage of the Islamization of Europe, have kindly asked if it’s possible for me to provide an occasional break from the endlessly depressing accounts of jihad and appeasement and dhimmitude and, quite simply, report on some good news for a change.
