Surely, we all remember the
lawsuit filed against journalist Ezra Levant and the human rights complaint
against Mark Steyn by Muslims upset with them for expressing their view.
Now, the National Council of Canadian Muslims – formerly known as CAIR-CAN, or
Council on American Islamic Relations (Canada) – threatens to
sue Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s spokesman, Jason MacDonald,
for daring to suggest that the organization has links to the terrorist group
Hamas.
“Mr. Gardee doesn’t speak for me,” Tarek Fatah
says in a brief interview. Indeed, he maintains that Gardee and the NCCM don’t
speak for any Muslims at all. Rather, he and his group represent the Islamists,
those who are bent on the destruction of western liberal society even as they
espouse liberal principles.“Mr. Gardee does not speak for any Muslim in this
country. But he speaks for every Islamist in this country. You have to make the
distinction.
The NCCM, says Fatah, thinks it can scare people
into silence, and what they don’t realize is that such tactics are backfiring.

CAIR and NCCM/CAIR-CAN have been prominent
in promoting the term
"Islamophobia," an expression held by many moderate
Muslims to have been contrived some years ago by U.S. Muslim Brotherhood
affiliates at a meeting at the Northern Virginia International Institute for
Islamic Thought, to silence both Muslims and non-Muslims concerned about
radical Islam, and to deflect attention away from the activities of the
Islamists.

There should be no room whatsoever for the tort of
defamation in a free and democratic modern society. With such a malleable tool
in the hands of human judges and juries, most trials turn out to be exercises
in punishing the insolent, protecting the powerful, cooling the mark out, removing the politically incorrect, reinforcing society’s taboos, and
gauging establishment postures on the controversies of the day.
Quebec is now hearing a landmark and critical
lawsuit, which may have freedom-of-speech implications for us all.
This is a serious andimportant case and issue with consequences for us
all. Should the case be decided against freedom of expression etc. it is a safe
bet that this precedent will be used in other Western nations trying to come to
terms with the same problem because of the same people.
CSIS alarmed by rise in Canadian radicals going abroad
Canada’s spy service is sounding the alarm “the
increasing number of Canadian citizens or residents who leave the about country
to participate in terrorist activities abroad,” its latest annual report
states. The Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) highlighted the
problem of domestic radicalization in its 2011-2013 annual report, released
Monday.

Berkeley Students Must Tweet on Islamophobia
12 years after Daniel Pipes first raised the flag
of Islamist penetration of U.S. universities, it appears the scholar of Islam,
with a dozen books to his credit, was right to be concerned. Two weeks ago, I
received a panicked message from a student enrolled at the University of
California, Berkeley.
He wrote: “I’ve been told by one of my professors I
will be required, as part of my grade, to start a Twitter account and tweet
weekly on Islamophobia. I can’t help but feel this is unethical. This is his
agenda not mine.” The professor conducting this exercise was Hatem Bazian
(see following article) as part of a course titled, “Asian American Studies
132AC: Islamophobia”.
UT-Knoxville’s Newest Student Anti-Israel Hate Group
In 2013, Students
for Justice in Palestine (SJP) announced its status as an official
student organization at UT-Knoxville. With about 100 chapters at last
count, SJP organizes extreme hate-filled anti-Israel activity on college
campuses around the country.
SJP was founded
in 2001 by virulently anti-Semitic Jew-hater, Hatem Bazian who brought
his Middle East hate to school. He also served as Muslim Students
Association President at Berkeley. This is the same person who is intimidating
his students to twitter about Islamaphobia in the above article.
What kind of country
refuses entry to people like Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller, but welcomes
with open arms war criminals, rapists, murderers, fascists and jihadists? Great
Britain, of course! Come on in, we say! No passport, my dear chap? Not a
problem! Can you mouth the word A-S-Y-L-U-M in a manner approximating
coherence? You can! Excellent, excellent, please allow us to provide you with

Islam and David Cameron
If
Cameron were anything like Winston Churchill, he would think for himself about
Islam. But he's not at all like Winston Churchill. Given the type of man he is,
and the political situation we are in at the moment, it is naive to expect
