Catherine McKenna joins communist Chinese environment council

  • On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, I reported on Trudeau's Environment Minister Catherine McKenna joining a communist Chinese environment council.

Recently, McKenna has been tweeting about her meetings with the "China Council":
Always great seeing Minister Xie Zhenhua, my co-chair for the #ChinaCouncil Executive Meeting, and Art Hanson.
The #ChinaCouncil had an incredibly productive discussion on taking climate action and how the circular economy can #BeatPlasticPollution.
At first, I assumed she meant the Canada-Chinese trade association called the China Council, which is sort of a "chamber of commerce" organization, with many prominent Canadian businessmen and politicians on its board.

But that’s not the "China Council" Catherine McKenna went to.
She went to the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development instead.

And it's part of the Chinese government.

    In other words:

Catherine McKenna is co-chairing an agency set up by the Communist Party of China, to promote China's interests, not ours.
And Canadian taxpayers are paying $1.6 million dollars a year to the Chinese government, for the privilege of sitting on this council, to help them meet their five-year plans.
