Imam Spews Vile Anti-Semitic Rant In Montreal
Why has the government been so silent on this?
An imam from the Al Andalous Islamic Centre has gone on numerous vile Anti-Semitic rants, leading to calls for an investigation.First reported by the National Post, a video released by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), shows Sheikh Wael Al-Ghitawi saying Jews were the “people who slayed the prophets, shed their blood, and cursed the Lord.”
Al-Ghitawi also said Jews were “punished by Allah.”
His comments are similar to the propaganda used by Hamas – a terrorist organization.
Even worse language previously at the same Mosque
Those are horrendous comments that have no place in Canada, and it’s shocking there hasn’t been more coverage of those vile remarks.
Al-Ghitawi’s latest comments also ignored history and said Jews didn’t have any connection to Jerusalem or the land of Israel, which is 100% false.
In a previous speech, Al-Ghitawi said “Jerusalem is Arabic and Islamic. It is our land, the land of our fathers and forefathers. We are the people most entitled to it. We will not forsake a single inch of this land.”
More Anti-Semitic comments in Toronto
There have been even more vile Anti-Semitic comments, at a Toronto mosque. In 2016, a sermon was devoted to the “filth of the Jews.”The National Post reported that the Muslim Association of Canada (MSA) is actually affiliated with the Toronto mosque where that horrible sermon was made. The MSA reportedly apologized and suspended the person who made that sermon.
Government strangely silent
While the Trudeau government has been busy pushing M-103, they’ve been strangely quiet on the horrific Anti-Semitic comments happening in Canada. Is the government letting political correctness get in the way of acknowledging hate? Do they not see that many Canadians are worried motions like M-103 could lead to us one day not being able to condemn horrible remarks like Al-Ghitawi’s?Keep in mind, the comments we’re hearing about are just the ones that have been reported.
If the government is truly serious about condemning hate, they need to immediately speak out against Al-Ghitawi’s comments and launch an investigation. Otherwise, they’re just showing that they care more about scoring political points than they do about protecting Canadians from extremists.
