The Elephant in the Room is the Truth About Islam

Most people have heard the old Hindu parable concerning the six blind Hindu men trying to accurately perceive the nature of an elephant. Each of the men can only interpret the elephant according to their blind understanding. Each man experiences the animal by how he perceives what he feels. They sincerely believe they have a valid and working understanding of the appearance of the entire elephant, but they obviously do not.

The “truth” the six blind men have about the elephant is grossly inaccurate because of the absence of full and accurate truth. The American people are the blind men of the parable, and Islam is the elephant.

American non-muslims’ understanding of the worldwide Islamic Movement is handicapped by our Western mindset and thought processes. It is an awakening to discover that our weak perceptions, our limited knowledge, and our subjective experiences have not provided us with a full account of the real truth concerning Islam.

Sharia is a totalitarian legal system and cannot be altered or amended because it comes from the Quran and the example of Islam’s prophet Muhammad. The Quran comes directly from Allah, therefore, the legal requirements in the Quran are not negotiable. Islam legally defines every verse of the Quran in the Tafsir, and has locked down how it is to be interpreted.

Likewise, Muhammad is considered the perfect man and is commanded to be emulated by all muslims for all times. Therefore, Islam is governed by the 7th century interpretation of this primitive jurisprudence and the example of a primitive masculine dominated lifestyle. To say Muhammad was wrong in any of his conduct – torture, beheading, commanding permanent war against non-muslims, approving sex slaves, marrying a six year old etc – is a capital crime.

Many Americans’ understanding of the elephant of Islam is limited by blindness and limited experience. We are blind because we are looking into a limited and sometime false presentation of the nature of Islam. We are limited in our experience because Islam will not allow people in a non-Islamic country to experience the full expression of Islam until sharia is dominant. We labor under a subjective desire to love people and accept their differences as followers of Jesus Christ. Islam intentionally cultivates a culture of ignorance and limited information to establish their hold in people’s lives. Let’s consider the term “extremist” or “radical extremist.”

In his early years in Mecca, Muhammad taught Islam without the revolutionary/violent aspect. However, after a failure to thrive as a religion, he transformed his movement to an aggressive, violent and even barbaric system of domination insisting on “submission.” The ultimate expression of sharia is so barbaric and untenable that Islam relies on early deception to capture their converts, and does not fully reveal Islam to people muslims bring into Islam.

In order to manage the deception and development of Islam, every term and word used to communicate in Islam must be defined within the context of sharia. Like the elephant, sharia is a very large and all consuming force in Islam. Everything must be seen through the lens of sharia.

Therefore, our western definition of “extremist” is not accurate in Islamic circles.

There exists “ Islamic double talk.“

Islamic double talk is the use of common expressions used in western circles that mean something else in Islamic circles or in a sharia context. Islam takes it upon itself to very carefully define all of the terms used in the Quran and referred to in the reports of what Muhammad did or said (hadith). These definitions are carefully applied to the fulfillment of the sharia in determining compliance to every detail.

This strict legalism is foreign to the western mindset and hard for us to integrate into our thought processes when dealing with muslims. We must remember the Koran, according to Islam, contains the direct words of Allah. They are to be taken as his direct commands to his people. They must be carried out to the letter of the law and each word has a special Islamic context.

Therefore, when Islam speaks of being a “peaceful” religion it means when the world is under the rule of sharia, there will be peace. When Islam speaks of “human rights,” it is referring to human rights as outlined in sharia law. The definition of “terrorism” is the murder of innocent people whose killing is forbidden by the Quran. Therefore, a “terrorist” in Islam is someone who kills a muslim for a non-sharia reason.

The reason you hear Ilhan Omar calling President Trump a racist is because the definition of “racist” in Islam is anyone who defames a muslim.

So what is a “radical extremist” or a “violent extremist?”

In Islam, there is a right way to implement Islam into a culture. It must be done slowly and progressively over time. When a person moves too fast with the introduction and domination of Islam into a culture, he is considered an “extremist.”

Extremism in Islam, therefore, is anyone who moves too far too fast in the implementation of sharia.
By pushing sharia adherence in a society too quickly, the Islamic Movement risks success in two major ways. First, it risks losing too many muslims who do not yet understand their duties as muslims under sharia. Secondly, moving too fast risks exposing the true nature of Islam and its Movement to the non-muslim community resulting in the killing of muslims by non-muslim forces – ie “Terrorism” in Islam.

Thus, as the King of Saudi Arabia told President Trump during the President’s first overseas visit of his Presidency, “Extremism leads to terrorism.”

This is true and makes sense if you know and understand sharia.

It is time for Americans to learn the true nature of Islam. Do not read the literature prepared by Islamic leaders for the general public or “Islam for dummies.” It is tainted and misleading. Go to Islam’s authoritative sources.

UTT does not even recommend you read the Quran, hadith, sira, Tafsir, and other materials. Just read published authoritative Islamic Law.

The Reliance of the Traveler is an easily available book of Islamic Law that U.S. Islamic leaders recommend for all muslims in America. Reading that will give you the real story of Islam.

Of course you can read and listen to any of the DVD’s or books of Understanding the Threat and discover the real elephant and the dangers of keeping him around the house. You can get those by clicking here.

There is a public and very well developed narrative that Islam is a religion of peace and that all of humanity will be blessed especially where Islam is allowed to flourish. This narrative is spread by major Islamic leaders across the globe and all the prominent muslim organizations in America including CAIR, ISNA, MPAC, Muslim Advocates, Muslim Students Association, and many others. These people proudly present Islam as a non-violent religion that seeks to simply live out their lives “faithfully.” They emphasize cooperation, peacefulness and tolerance of their beliefs, as core Islamic teachings.

The question to ask them is: “Where are those concepts taught to muslim children in America?”
