How will we measure “success?” Let me answer that with an old proverb, which asks “How do you eat an elephant”? Answer: “One bite at a time.” In other words, EVERY “bite” we take produces successes and gets us closer to ultimate victory. At times it may not appear that much progress is being made. At other times, like today, we have measurable signs of progress that should encourage you and empower you. Today’s email is a snapshot of three measures of progress—three “bites” we are taking—and a call to you to act if you haven’t already done so. Because the more of us who join in and take a “bite” out of the “elephant” of radical Islam, the more successes we will achieve and the closer to ultimate victory we will get. 10,505 This is the number of views recorded by U Stream during the November 7th webcast conference, “Radical Islam’s Threat to America,” sponsored by our “sister” organization, American Congress for Truth. This conference was the #1 most watched webcast nationwide on U Stream on November 7th. It was also the 4th highest watched webcast worldwide! To our knowledge, no organization committed to defeating the threat of radical Islam has held a conference of this kind that reached this many people, including many elected officials and staff. Eastern Time this morning, this is the number of people who have added their names to our petition calling for a government investigation of CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations. 20,952 are the most signatures, in the shortest amount of time, ever gathered for a petition in the history of ACT! for America! THIS is a measure of progress. THIS is a measure of success. But we need thousands more names, for two reasons. First, to continue to raise public awareness about the misdeeds of CAIR. Every person who signs it and sends it on to their friends increases the prospect for the petition to really go viral. Second, to ultimately produce so many signatures that it will be difficult for Congress to ignore us. There are already many in Congress who are backing away from CAIR. A petition with 50,000 or even 100,000 names will be more motivation for “fence sitters” to decide CAIR should be investigated and that they don’t want anything to do with CAIR.
