Identity of Tunisia terror attack revealed
0Abu Yahya Qayrawani, a pseudonym of the 23 year-old electrical engineering student Seifeddine Yacoubi, is believed to be the manic slayer. He neither has a criminal record nor is he known for local security forces before.
Qayrawani shot dead 38 sunbathers inside The Imperial Hotel in Sousse (a city and summer resort located 140 km south of the capital Tunis), mostly British, in what has become Tunisia’s most tragic terror attacks.
According to eyewitnesses, the killer was laughing and joking with the victims before he wields his AK-47 rifle he had concealed in his parasol and shoots dead the victims. Qayrawani was most probably choosing whom to shoot.
Tunisia’s Prime Minister confirmed that most of the fatalities killed in Friday’s attack were British.
Holidaymakers from Germany, Belgium and Ireland were also among the dead.
ISIS enjoys a considerable support among the Tunisian youths who have flocked to Iraq and Syria to be ‘jihadists’ fighting for the caliphate.
