Senator Kelly Ayotte Joins United Against Nuclear Iran as Senior Advisor

Former New Hampshire Senator Brings Significant Foreign Policy Experience to Leading Foreign Policy NGO

(New York, N.Y.) - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), the bipartisan, not-for-profit advocacy group leading efforts to warn companies and governments around the world of the dangers posed by the Iranian regime, announced today former Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) has joined the organization as a senior advisor.

Ayotte brings a wealth of foreign policy experience to UANI. While serving in the United States Senate, she was a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, served as Chair of the Subcommittee on Readiness and Management Support, and on the Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities and the Subcommittee on Seapower. Additionally, she served as a member of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and on the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and the Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management.

"The threat of a nuclear Iran is real and omnipresent. UANI has and continues to make a significant impact on Iran policy in the U.S. and abroad, and I am proud to join their efforts to hold the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism accountable for their actions," said Senator Ayotte.

"During her tenure in the United States Senate, Ayotte was a leader in the fight against the Iranian regime. We thank her for her service and we are thrilled to welcome her to UANI," said UANI CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace.

"Senator Ayotte embodies the values that UANI was founded on more than ten years ago - the determination and ability to work in a bipartisan manner to hold Iran accountable and stop the rogue regime from making progress towards its goal of nuclear proliferation. I was proud to work alongside her in the Senate and grateful for her engagement with UANI," said UANI Chairman Senator Joseph I. Lieberman.

Senator Ayotte's engagement with UANI was featured today in Politico, and she recently published an op-ed in The Hill with Senator Lieberman regarding the Trump Administration's summit on Iran and Middle East policy in Warsaw.
