The relationship between President Barack Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood began before he came to the presidency of the United States. Frank J. Gaffney, founder and president of the Center for Security Policy, analyzed Obama’s first speech in Cairo. Obama then called himself Barack Hussein Obama, in contrast to his position during the first election campaign, where he was keen to hide the name of his father, Hussein.During this speech, he was the first American president to refer to the Koran as ‘Holy’

He repeated this phrase four times and also used the Islamic term “Peace be upon them” when he was talking about prophets . [1]

According to the Gaffney’s report, Obama had announced that part of his responsibility as president of the United States is to address negative stereotypes about Islam wherever it appears. Obama has explained this speech as an attempt to restore interfaith dialogue. This raises troubling questions about his own religious beliefs. In Cairo, the former president declared that Islam has always been an integral part of the story of America. In an interview with a French network, Obama said that America will become one of the largest countries in the Muslim world due to increase of Muslims in USA.

Gaffney said that Obama lied about his faith and his agenda, and also mentioned that Obama’s speech was a lesson in promoting the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. [2]

A report released by voice of Russia Radio questioned the US president’s continued support for the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East. A few days before the Report, Obama told Congress in his annual address that Washington would continue to advocate a smooth transition to democracy in the Middle East and North Africa, that the waves of the Arab Spring will continue its march in the region over the next four years and perhaps there would be other countries preparing to receive these waves. Since his arrival to the White House, Obama has chosen Muslim Brotherhood elements in his administration [4]

Mazen al-Asbahi, an American lawyer of Arab origin, was appointed as an adviser on education to be a link with Arabs and Muslims in the United States. Other members of administration with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood include Arif AliKhan, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Mohammed al-byari, a member of the National Consultative Council for Security, who studied the ideas of Sayyid Qutb –founder of the muslim brotherhood , Hussain Rashad, the US special envoy for the organization of the Islamic Conference, Imam Muhammad Majid, President of the Islamic Society of North America, Eboo Patel, a member of the Obama Advisory Council, Dalia Mogahed, the first veiled woman to serve in the White House and who was appointed to manage the Internal Security Advisory Council, and Rashad Hussein, whose work focused on national security and the new media as well as science and technology issues .

One of the most controversial elements of the Obama administration is Huma Mahmoud Abdeen who was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She moved with her family to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the age of two. Abdeen began working as an intern at the White House in 1996 , and was assigned to Hillary Clinton to work in the State Department in 2010, and because of Hillary’s strong attachment to the world newspapers, reports included of an abnormal sexual relationship between Huma and others, who was accused her of being lesbian. In 2012, accusations against Huma came to the fore because of her relation with the Muslim Brotherhood. The most important US officials who asked to investigate this matter were members of Congress: Michele Bachmann, Trent Franks, Louie Gohmert, Tom Rooney and Westmoreland Lane. They sent a letter to the inspector general requesting him to investigate the association of Huma with the Muslim Brotherhood, and to investigate the infiltration of the US government by the group, as well as the arrival of Hassan Abdeen, brother of Huma who held a senior position in the US administration. For its part, Fox News denounced US President Barack Obama’s relationship with his Ex-Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Morsi and described Morsi the new ally of America. According to the US network, reports of the arrival of the Muslim Brotherhood members to the White House and their entrance through the front doors, and even the red carpet to welcome them, were reported to be granting them visas to enter the United States through the US State Department. [8]

The revolution that overthrew Hussni Mubarak had transformed the Muslim Brotherhood from a banned group into a political tycoon, occupying about half of the seats in the Egyptian parliament, the Washington Post reported. Morsi traveled to America in 2011 and received $ 50 million from the Obama administration; the report added that the Obama administration since the beginning of the Arab Spring helped directly or indirectly, the forces that overthrew dictatorships in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen and Libya.

Former spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood in the West, Kamal al-Helbawy , proclaimed on the internet in 2012 that the United States will kneel to the Muslim Brotherhood, adding that the Muslim Brotherhood is everywhere within the US administration, in its institutions, the Ministry of Defense, the White House, CIA, National Security, FBI, and others.

The Hudson Institute, a senior defense adviser, confirmed that the administration had decided to work with Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria to form a post-Assad government. The World Tribune website said President Barack Obama quietly recruited Muslims in diplomatic posts, according to reports issued by the organization. [11]

Judicial Watch reports that the Obama administration employed Muslims in the US State Department and in posts within the federal government as foreign service officers who represented the United States in more than 265 US embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions around the world. [12]
According to the report, the Obama administration was using new recruits to strengthen Washington’s relations with the rest of the world. The report added that Mark Ward, deputy special coordinator at the State Department’s Middle East office, was the head of the recruiting process. Ward held a 90-minute seminar with the American Islamic Association. These two groups have been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

In a statement to Obama in 2009, Mark Ward said that the biggest challenges facing the American society lack of confidence and lack of understanding of the Islamic world. After the US election, President-elect Barack Obama appointed Robert Malley as senior foreign policy adviser. Malley met with Hamas representatives on a regular basis [14]. There were secret talks with Obama and Hamas. Both sides discussed removing Hamas from the terrorism list. Hamas said the United States had asked to refrain from making any statements about contacts with Washington, and US officials have said that they have no choice but to work with Hamas because of its influence in the Arab and Muslim world. A senior Obama administration official told Reuters that about 400 million was obtained by Hamas since the control of the Gaza Strip.

One of the most important US officials who discussed Obama’s dialogue with Hamas was current Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, who traveled to the Middle East with Obama when he was a member of the US Congress. John Kerry, the ex US Secretary of State in the Obama administration also discussed this matter.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt played a big role in the January 25 2011 revolution, and took important roles in the demonstrations that brought down Mubarak. The Egyptian police were no longer patrolling at the Rafah border crossing and Hamas armed elements were taking advantage of this security vacuum and enter Egypt. Hamas cooperated closely with the Muslim Brotherhood in the destruction of public property in order to give the impression to the Egyptian public and global public that the demonstrators represent a threat to the security of Egyptian society and distort their image, while at the same time pomote committees of the Muslim Brotherhood to protect these public properties and give the impression that the Muslim Brotherhood protects the people from the attacks by the vandals .

In September 2013, an Egyptian court banned the Brotherhood and its associations, and ordered that its assets be seized. It was designated as a terrorist organization.
