A new front in the struggle against Islamist terrorism

As of this writing (9:56 A.M. EDT), one of the Boston Marathon terrorists suspects is dead, the other is on the run.

According to one report,
“The deceased suspect in the bombing of the Boston marathon, which killed three and injured more than 170, appears to have posted a video to his YouTube playlist extolling an extremist religious prophecy associated with Al Qaeda.”

By the time you get this email, events may have changed dramatically.
But the revelation that these suspects are “brothers from a Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency” (AP report) indicates that a new front in the struggle against radical Islamist terror has now been opened against America.

Russia has been battling this ideology and its terrorism for years. The most horrific terrorist attack in that conflict occurred in September, 2004, when Islamist terrorists took over a school and killed hundreds of children and adults.

Now, it appears, this kind of brutality has made its way to America.
