Dear
Vicky13,
It
is a national travesty that six months after the American deaths in
Benghazi, we still do not have answers to basic questions about what led to
the deaths of Ambassador Stevens and other Americans.
Yet
most elected officials - from the White House and Congress - continue to
drag their feet in identifying the failures in the State Department that
led to Stevens being in an unarmed camp on 9/11, and in the failure to
capture the perpetrators.
Hillary
Clinton's internal review was meaningless. Her testimony before Congress
attempted to close the books on the tragedy. Yesterday, Secretary of
State Kerry said he would answer outstanding questions, but would not
commit to sharing his findings. Why not?
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO
KNOW.
- Why
are eyewitnesses to the events being kept under wraps in Washington,
DC and not being allowed to speak with the press or other elected
officials?
- Why
did Ambassador Rice insist that the deaths were the outgrowth of
(non-existent) demonstrations?
- Who
ordered the Americans to this unprotected area on 9/11? When did
President Obama learn about the attack? Was Brennan involved?
We
call on Congress and Speaker Boehner to appoint a Select Committee to focus
on Benghazi, and get the answers that Americans deserve to know.
Congressman Frank Wolf has introduced legislation to accomplish this
in H. Res. 36.
