This month, Sea Shepherd returns to the Faroe Islands, led by our strongest at-sea presence in the region to date. The MV Bob Barker, The MV Sam Simon and The MV Brigitte Bardot
will be supported by our land team, to once again stand in defense of
pilot whales targeted in the brutal hunt known as the ‘grindadráp’ or
simply, the ‘grind’.
We take our 2015 Faroe Islands campaign name from the Faroese term, “sleppid grindini” Which literally means, “set the whales free.”
