Judge Jeanine, Gorka – Activist Judge And Iran Testing, Poking New President

Judge Jeanine Pirro interviewed the President’s new Deputy Assistant to President Trump, Dr. Sebastian Gorka on her program Saturday. She starts things off by asking him why President Trump put the terrorist travel ban in place and what information he had that told he needed to do so.

Gorka answers the question differently, replying, “Well let me start with the three reasons this judge has simply ruled himself out of having any effective say in this matter. You’ve raised a few issues but number one,  he has no authority outside the realm in which he is. It is a federal measure and he is not a judge that has jurisdiction over this federal measure.”

“Secondly,” says Gorka, “He has no legal standing. You can sue the government if you are refused a visa but only if you are the person who has applied for the visa. He has no legal standing because he isn’t the person who’s applied for a visa to enter the United States.” Evidently the President has some belief that the judge has the ability to do what he’s doing because he’s honoring his stay, as Judge Jeanine will affirm shortly.

Gorka continues, “And lastly the point that you just mentioned. This individual doesn’t have the daily intelligence briefing. He has no idea what the threats to America are. And remember these seven nations are the ones that were deemed by the Obama White House to be of primary concern to America in terms of immigrants coming from that country who could have connections to terrorism. That is not, has nothing to do with the Seattle judge mandate.”

Pirro seems to disagree with her guest, saying, “Well there’s no question that the judge does have the authority to issue a temporary restraining order but ultimately I believe that it’s going to be overturned, based on, not just precedent but the national security stuff.”

She moves the conversation to Iran, saying, “Things seem to be moving very quickly in terms of what’s happening in Iran. The President saying on Thursday that the Iran missile test will not go without a response, that they’re formally being put on notice. And then Iran insists that they’re going to continue with their ballistic missile tests, what’s going on?”

Gorka says, “I wish the mullahs in Tehran would understand that Obama is no longer the ‘president’ of the United States.” The relationship between Washington and Tehran is not going to be the same as it has been for the last eight years. During that period, Dr. Gorka believes “we had an administration that basically bolstered that regime, released billions of dollars to that nation and facilitated it becoming a very powerful destabilizing force in the region.”

He says, “We sent a very clear message this week in the form of a statement from Lt. Gen Mike Flynn that that age is over. They can no longer harass our ships, the ships of our partners, and they must comply, not only with the requirements of the JCPOA, the so-called Iran deal, but also a United Nations security resolution that explicitly states they must not have any ballistic missile activity, especially anything that relates to payloads that could be used to carry nuclear warheads.’

Dr. Gorka adds, “That is the explicit opening passage of that resolution and they have flouted it flagrantly.” Judge Pirro says, “If they’re testing us I don’t think they should be surprised that there is a different sheriff in town with President Trump.”
