The left tried to shut us down The left continues to do everything they can to stop us. We have been on the receiving end of non-stop attacks. From hit pieces published by the Huffington Post to press conferences and protests hosted outside the venue of our National Conference, organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and MoveOn.org have been slandering us regularly. Look at the timeline of recent events listed below: August 9th: Huffington Post publishes hit piece in attempt to shut down ACT for America National Conference August 15th: Facebook Censors Brigitte Gabriel's Facebook Account August 16th: "Muslim Advocates" Launch Petition to shut down ACT for America National Conference August 30th: MoveOn, CREDO, Muslim Advocates, NowThis, along with 30 other organizations, host press conference outside Hyatt Hotel in protest of ACT for America August 30th: CAIR pressures former ICE Director Thomas Homan to cancel appearance at ACT Conference August 31st: 34 leftist organizations send letter Hyatt Hotels requesting they cancel ACT for America National Conference August 31st: Southern Poverty Law Center publishes hit piece about ACT for America National Conference September 3rd: Newsweek publishes hit piece to prevent Former ICE Director Thomas Homan from attending ACT for America National Conference September 5th: Soros Funded Activists protest outside ACT for America Conference September 10th: Southern Poverty Law Center publishes article titled "ACT for America brags about access to White House, Donald Trump" September 11th: MIC.com publishes hit piece against ACT for America's ties to the White House However, despite their repeated attempts to shut us down, our 10th Annual National Conference was a raging success. These constant attacks from the radical left are a sign that we are being effective in our outreach and efforts to secure this country from threats both foreign and domestic.
