Let a Thousand Flowers Bloom
There is an important event in
DC this Friday. A new organization, SIOA (Stop the Islamization of America),
devoted to helping us fight Sharia law, is announcing its presence. Up until
now most of the work against political Islam has been in the hands of individual
web sites. By and large, these are sites where you can learn, but not join in
and work on a project with other people.
Up until now the “doing” game in
town has been ACT. It is a mark of our maturation that we now have a new organization
devoted to people in the same room working on projects that resist creeping
Islamization. It is possible to contrast and compare ACT and SIOA, but none
of that matters. It does not matter whether a cat is gray, orange or white,
as long as it catches mice.
The only problem now is that we
need 998 more organizations to cover the fight against political Islam on many
fronts, so that a thousand flowers can bloom.
Below is SIOA’s press release.

WASHINGTON – Stop Islamization
of America (SIOA) will hold an organizational launch and press conference with
speakers and panel discussion on September 25th, to coincide with Islam on Capitol
Hill Day and the 220th anniversary of the passage of the Bill of Rights.
SIOA is an educational and human rights organization with two foundational principles:
Love and Compassion.
SIOA’s mission is to educate the American people about the political doctrine
of Islam, its history, Sharia (Islamic Law), and Jihad. SIOA believes that Sharia
Law is incompatible with our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Seven experts are scheduled to speak on the subjects of Islam, terrorism and
civic responsibility.
Rabbi Jon Hausman – Conservative political moderator
Rebecca Bynum – Publisher, Senior Managing Editor – New English
Review
Dave Gaubatz – Veteran counter-terrorism investigator, author
Catherine Martin – Veteran grass roots activist, Northern Virginia
John Cosgrove – Counter-terrorism consultant
Martin Mawyer – Founder, Christian Action Network
Jerry Gordon – Senior Editor – New English Review
Attendees will be asked to speak
with their Congressmen about Sharia Law, two acts before Congress (the Free
Speech Protection Act and the Act to Protect First Responders Fighting Terrorism)
and the effort to help protect those who leave Islam from reprisals.
Note: Please register for this event. Please
click Join Network [2]and
fill out the section on 9/25. If you have already registered, but did not specify

After the conference and panel discussion we will distribute information packages
for you to use in appointments with Members of Congress and their staffs. We
will present them with information about the two pieces of legislation
that provide protections against violation of Free speech by foreign laws under
our First Amendment and civil litigation by stealth jihadists against First
Responders protecting us against Islamic terrorism.
We will engage them in discussion;
ask them if they would co-sponsor the proposed legislation. We can also explain
the dangers of Sharia invading our civil laws in America and supplanting our
Constitution. After all, September 25th is the 220th anniversary of the passage
of the Bill of Rights [3] in Congress.
Therefore:
Attendees should make appointments
with their Representatives and Senators by going to congress.org [4].
- In the top right of the main page enter your zip code in “Find
Your Officials>Enter Your Zip Code”. - Click GO.
- A list of officials is displayed.
- Click on the Rep’s name you want to contact.
- Now, you’ll see contact info.
- Make a call, and make an appointment for the 25th!
- You can also click on “Visit Official Website” if that link
is available. (Some Reps have a “make an appointment” link on their sites,
but not all.) - Bring your video camera.
