Sparky the Master Builder

Quaker Parakeets are legendary for their building capabilities. (My Quaker, Taco is a exception to this rule, he doesn't want to build,, LOL)

Sparky here,, is quite the engineer when it comes to building his nest.

Like other Quaker parrots, Sparky builds massive stick houses for a living. For the past five years, he's been taking over a bookshelf in Magee's dining room. That seems perfectly fine with Magee and husband Craig. She supplies him (Sparky, that is) with 3/16-inch dowels and he goes to work. To make room for Sparky's expanding empire, they keep hauling books to Powell's.
"Sometimes huge amounts fall down and he starts over," Magee says.
