From the palaces to the tombs: a Pandora’s box of peril

17 February 2010: There is an extensive and complex system of Islamic infiltration within our U.S. Military and our federal and state prison systems. Islamists have been busy recruiting new followers to Islamic jihad, or war against the West, with the help of a “fifth column” of individuals and organizations in place in all branches of our government, supportive non-governmental organizations (NGO), and even the media.

The depth of the infiltration is significant and the consequences ominously prescient. Most recent statistics available show that one out of three African-American inmates in U.S. prisons convert to Islam while incarcerated. The type of Islam to which they convert teaches the same ideology as the 9/11 hijackers, which is the “Wahhabi” or “Salafi form of Islam that originated in and is continually being exported from Saudi Arabia. Scholarly debate of the interchangeability of the terms or the terms themselves aside, it is important to understand that the ideology behind this “fundamentalist” form of Islam is completely incompatible with the culture, politics, and social fabric of the West. Nonetheless, it is being embraced by numerous groups, agencies and individuals inside the United States.

The high rate of conversion of inmates to Islam, and specifically the Wahhabi brand of Islam is no accident. The lack of oversight of teaching materials brought in to prisons to facilitate their conversion is no accident. The influx of Wahhabi chaplains into our prison system and military is no accident. The entire process is by design, and consists of a sophisticated combination of personnel placement, funding, and an active support structure of numerous interrelated entities and individuals

The indoctrination of American inmates is a well known strategy detailed in al Qaeda training manuals. The manuals state that non-Muslim prisoners should be eyed for conversion to “religious jihad” as they are likely to be “disenchanted with their country’s policies” and feel disenfranchised from society. They also can make perfect operational assets for Islamic terrorist groups because of their ability to more easily blend into American society.”

By closely investigating the jihad recruitment in our prisons and within our own military, a “Pandora’s box” was found to exist. The process of recruiting and training new recruits for Islamic jihad, or war with the West, is not limited to just prisons or military chaplains. That is merely one single thread of a much larger fabric of deception that poses a peril to the U.S. and the West. It is a spoke in a larger wheel established for the sole purpose of weakening and attacking the U.S. from within, by using our own laws and freedoms against us. It is a conspiracy to undermine the efforts of law enforcement, support violent jihad in the U.S. and ultimately subjugating our Constitution to Sharia law, and making Islam the dominant religion and political structure of North America.

Infiltration: a brief history of milestones

This agenda has been in the works for decades. Wahhabism became deeply rooted in the U.S. in the 1960s. The Saudi Muslim Students Association (MSA) was established in the U.S. in 1963 at the University of Illinois by Arab students who adhered to the doctrine of the Muslim Brotherhood. During the 1960s and 1970s, the U.S. became the ultimate destination of a large influx of Muslims from around the world with one thing in common: they were all educated in Islamic law Saudi Arabia, most from or supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood. Once in the U.S., they became active in Muslim organizations, and began developing others. In 1981, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) was established by those connected to the MSA.

Between 1982 and 2002, 1,500 mosques, 210 Islamic centers and 2,000 schools to educate Muslim children were established in non Muslim countries alone. Staggering sums of money were involved. According to an internal Muslim World League documents, in just a two year period in the 1980s, the Saudis were reported to have spent $10 million on mosque construction in the United States. [i] Academic chairs for Islamic studies were donated at Harvard Law School and the University of California-Santa Barbara. The Saudis supported Islamic research institutes at American University in Washington, Howard University, Duke University, and John Hopkins University. An Islamic academy went up in Washington, DC. [ii]

The main purpose of this campaign was to spread Wahhabi Islam and Saudi influence in the U.S. primarily through Islamic charities and organizations. The Saudis donated billions of dollars to the Muslim World League, International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY). Muslim Brotherhood refugees who had sought asylum in Saudi Arabia provided the manpower for the international efforts of numerous organizations, particularly the Muslim World League.

These Saudi charities were pivotal conduits for funding the most extreme pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli organizations, including Hamas (the Islamic Resistance Movement), a natural Saudi ally, having grown from the Gaza branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in 1987. The Saudis were donating money on a massive scale, and such donations came with strings attached. The recipients were to adopt the Saudi (extreme) positions or risk losing continuing monetary assistance. [iii]

The spread of Wahhabism to the U.S. was clearly made by Saudi funds. The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) held the assets of both the MSA and the ISNA, and funds were distributed to build mosques and Islamic centers across the U.S., contingent, of course, that such institutions preached the Saudi doctrine. That Saudi doctrine is rabidly anti-Christian, anti-Semitic and anti-Western as evidenced by the 1977 booklet titled The Facts That the Muslim Must Know About Christianity and Missionary Activity, a text that bears the seal of Saudi Arabia on its cover and has been found in numerous Saudi funded mosques and Islamic Centers across the U.S.[iv]

During a period in the 1980s, Abdullah Azzam, the leader of the Muslim brotherhood offices in Peshawar, Pakistan and the Muslim World League, presided over the Islamic Center of Tucson, where 9/11 hijacker and Saudi national Hani Hanjour later attended in 1991. Azzam had developed intimate connections with the Saudi government during the Afghan war with the Soviets, obtaining funding for jihad fighters directly from the Saudi intelligence, the Red Crescent, Muslim World League and from private donations made by Saudi princes. The ideology of the Islamic Center of the Islamic Society of Tucson was established by Azzam, and later became the home to Omar Shahin, a plaintiff in the now infamous “Flying Imams” stunt involving USAir Flight 300 in November 2006[v].

It is important to note here that Shahin and five other imams who were ejected from that flight met with Representative-elect Keith Ellison on the day before he and the others were ejected from their flight at a conference of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF) after Ellison himself spoke at an annual CAIR fundraising banquet a day earlier in Washington, DC.

It is also important to point out that Shahin also ministered and mentored to the two Saudi students, Hamdan al-Shalawi and Muhammed al-Qudhaieen, both attending college on Saudi visas, who appeared to be involved in a practice run for 9/11 aboard an America West Flight from Phoenix to Washington, DC in November 1999[vi].

In 1993, the Islamic Assembly of North America (IANA) was founded in Michigan by members of a number of Muslim organizations based in the U.S. and Canada. In 2001, the chairman of the IANA admitted in an interview with the New York Times that more than half of their funding originated from the government of Saudi Arabia, while the other half came from private Saudi donors. [vii] Moreover, a mere four months before 9/11, their website justified “martyrdom operations,” including crashing airplanes into buildings.

Embodiment of the infiltration: a dangerous precipice

The building and funding of this dangerous infrastructure within the U.S. has taken place right under our noses, during the watch of the last several presidential administrations, and even excelling after the attacks of 9/11. In fact, this Saudi influenced infrastructure became emboldened by the murderous events of 9/11 by using our democratic laws, our religious tolerance, the media and our own political system against us.

It was only after 9/11 did we see such political milestones as the election of Keith Ellison, the first Muslim congressman who took his oath of office not on a Bible, but on a Quran on January 3, 2007. Just over a year later, on March 11, 2008, Muslim convert Andre Carson assumed office for Indiana’s 7^th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, making him the second Muslim in the U.S. House of Representatives in as many years.

And just several weeks after the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we witnessed the election of Barack Hussein Obama, a man of Muslim heritage and educated in an Islamic school in his youth. Most fundamentally, he is a man whose eligibility to serve as president continues to remain a very legitimate question under Article II of the United States Constitution. Although there are those who proclaim that this accusation is outlandish and unfounded, the simple truth is that Obama has spent an estimated $1.5 million to date defending lawsuits that would compel him to produce his long form birth certificate and other pertinent records that would answer questions about his citizenship, college funding and transcripts as well as his citizenship status on his passport records. To date, Obama has fought – with assistance from the Muslim “advocacy group” the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), to keep his records from public view. Evidence uncovered and published in the book Muslim Mafia, Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America, provides compelling, if not undeniable evidence that CAIR receives a vast majority of its funding from Saudi Arabia.

Politically, the ties between Obama, Ellison and Carson are interwoven and dripping with Saudi money and influence. In fact, it is this very same Saudi money, power and influences that are breeding new jihad recruits in our prison system and our military every day. Its tentacles reach as far out as the United Nations and inward by association with such organizations as the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), a non-governmental youth and student group affiliated with the United Nations with a significant presence inside the United States. In December 1999, WAMY announced at a press conference in Saudi Arabia that it “was extending both moral and financial support to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) “to help it construct its $3.5 million headquarters in Washington, D.C.[viii]“

In sum and substance, it is Saudi money that finances an extensive outreach program to U.S. prisons, sending money and tens of thousands of Qu’rans to organizations such as the National Islamic Prison Foundation, for the specific purpose of converting prisoners to jihad. Again, it is the very same financing structure that funds specific political candidates for public office in the U.S., and the same structure that helped Barack Hussein Obama, Ellison, and others.

Following 9/11 and in particular, after the election of Barack Hussein Obama, the embodiment of infiltration has accelerated at a momentous pace.

Symptoms of infiltration: looking behind the headlines

An example infiltration into our prison system can be found deep behind recent headlines. On February 3, 2010, New York City Muslim prison chaplain Zul-Qarnain ABDU-SHAHID, 58, was caught taking three 1 ½” by 3” utility knife razor blades and scissors into the Manhattan Detention Complex in lower Manhattan, known by locals and watchers of the TV series “Law & Order” as “the tombs.” The items were in his shoulder bag, which were discovered when his bag was passed through the X-ray screener at the complex.

He and his lawyer, James M. McQueeney, both insist that it was a mistake and that ABDU-SHAHID did not know the items were in his bag. On February 10, a grand jury in Manhattan declined to produce an indictment against the chaplain, thus freeing the Muslim chaplain from any criminal charges, at least for now. The prosecution could seek another indictment, but the New York District Attorney’s office has so far declined comment on any possible further action. To be perfectly clear, ABDU-SHAHID is a free man and not currently under indictment, but the system in place that qualifies Muslim chaplains for our prisons and armed forces and other government agencies should be.

Unsurprisingly, interest in this case by the public and media rose sharply when it was disclosed that ABDU-SHAHID, formerly known as Paul PITTS, is an ex-convict who was found guilty of murder. He was convicted of his role in the murder of 30 year-old Phillip Crawford, a customer who was shot during the robbery of the Finast supermarket, 529 Lenox Avenue in Harlem on 9 December 1976. He and three other men entered and robbed the store and killed Crawford. PITTS began his incarceration in the New York State prison system in September 1979 to begin serving a sentence of 15-years-to-life for second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. He was also arrested for sexual assault in Queens, although that case was ultimately dismissed. He was paroled in August 1993, and finished his probation in August 2001.

Despite his past conviction for murder and robbery, Zul-Qarnain ABDU-SHAHID was hired by the New York City Department of Corrections (DOC) as a Muslim chaplain at a government salary of $49,471 per year in February 2007. His immediate supervisor is Umar ABDUL-JALIL, formerly known as William BOSTICK, head Muslim chaplain and the Director of Ministerial Services for the New York City Department of Corrections. ABDUL-JALIL was hired as a Muslim chaplain in June 1993 despite serving 15 years to life himself after being convicted in Brooklyn on cocaine and heroin possession and selling charges. He was incarcerated from in November 1975 until his parole in February 1989. Like many increasingly reliable statistics that suggest one out of three African-American males in prison convert to Islam, BOSTICK converted to Islam while incarcerated and became ABDU-JALIL.

ABDUL-JALIL served as a Muslim chaplain from June 1993 until his promotion to head chaplain in April 2002, a job that put him in charge of forty-(40) other chaplains within the NYC DOC. In 2004, his job responsibilities were again expanded and he was named as the executive director of ministerial services. At an annual government salary of $76,602 plus perks and benefits, ABDUL-JALIL is responsible for overseeing about 500 prison volunteer workers as well as the staff of chaplains, along with the job of coordinating visits by children in the child welfare system to their incarcerated parents.

On April 15 and 16, 2005, ABDUL-JALIL gave an incendiary speech to Muslim leaders at two separate symposiums sponsored by the Muslim Students Association (MSA) in Tucson, Arizona. He stated that the “greatest terrorists in the world occupy the White House,” Jews control the media,” and “Muslims are being tortured in Manhattan jails,” among other anti-American and anti-Semitic remarks. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg became publicly accountable for ABDUL-JALIL’s future within the NYC DOC, who was employed in a position of extreme public trust at taxpayer’s expense, in light of his anti-government and pro-Islamic rant after it was reported in The New York Post in March 2006. ABDUL-JALIL was briefly placed on administrative leave pending an investigation after his remarks were made public, but he was ultimately permitted to resume his full duties.

Although anticipated, it is important to note that the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) stepped into the 2006 fray after putting their full support behind ABDUL-JALIL, citing the prison chaplain’s first amendment right to speak his views regardless of his employment position. This fact will become increasingly important as the trail of money and influence is carefully tracked.

Any person of reasonable sensibilities should be asking by now how this situation can be allowed to persist, let alone exist, especially in a post 9/11 environment. Sadly, the above examples are not isolated instances. Neither are the official responses.

What is taking place today is the recruitment and indoctrination of the next generation of Islamic terrorists. The methods employed are being purposely obfuscated by a multi-national cabal of shadowy globalists. They are using elected and appointed officials, benign sounding organizations, and a myriad of other “politically progressive” causes and methods to mask their agenda. If that sounds too conspiratorial, evidence to prove the globalist nature of this stealth attack on the U.S. can be found in the old investigative adage to “follow the money.” Doing so will lead directly to those behind this global cabal that threatens the lives and freedoms of every American.

Tracking the funding, influence and infiltration: a visual compilation

The following graph illustrates the infiltration, power and influence exerted by individuals and organizations that permit infiltration of our American institutions to exist. With regard to jihad recruitment within our prison system, it is noted that the Saudi government supports GSISS, (known after a federal raid as Cordoba University in Ashburn, Virginia) which has the distinction of being the only educational institution that the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has approved to train and endorse Muslim chaplains for the American military despite being identified as one of the key U.S. Muslim Brotherhood front organizations by the Department of Justice in court proceedings in the case against the Holy Land Foundation.

In March 2003, the ChevronTexaco Foundation awarded GSISS a $100,000 grant for a program “designed to empower members of the Muslim community to respond to prejudice expressed against many individuals and communities, especially South Asians, Muslims and Arabs after the September 11th tragedy.[ix]“

Also involved in the training and certifying Muslim chaplains to both the U.S. Bureau of Prisons and the U.S. military is the Saudi supported Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). It is used by the Muslim World League (a Saudi charity accused of financing al Qaeda) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) to finance and control all Saudi mosques and Islamic centers in the U.S. The ISNA was also identified as one of the key U.S. Muslim Brotherhood front organizations by the Department of Justice[x].

It is important to note that the larger process of weakening America also include such seemingly unrelated instances of manipulating the American media, undermining support for ridding the Taliban from Afghanistan, fighting in Iraq, handling enemy combatants in the U.S. criminal justice system, deliberately omitting “inflammatory” phrases such as “Islamic terrorism,” and naming gun owners, pro-life supporters, and even returning veterans as security threats. The same individuals and entities involved in permitting and even facilitating the recruitment of Muslim converts in our prisons and military are involved in these events as well. They are all threads common to the same fabric of deception.
