The upheaval in Libya,
and the massacre of the country’s citizens by their leader Muammar al-Qaddafi, has caught the attention of the international community. The European Union, the Arab League, and the Islamic Conference have all condemned Qaddafi’s actions. Yet in a speech on February 23, President Obama, although reiterating that America “condemns the use of violence,” failed to denounce Qaddafi’s regime by name.

This is reminiscent of America’s lack of response to the mass slaughter of the Iranian people by Ayatollah Khomeini during the 1979 Revolution, and to the brutal suppression of Iranians by the same regime following the June 2009 fraudulent elections (see exclusive clip from the film Iranium below).

And while we look to our President to denounce acts of violence around the world, it is up to us to ensure that supporters of violent acts and terrorism are not given a platform to speak in our communities.

The importance of supporting the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom is discussed in the film Iranium, which exposes the threats posed by a nuclear Iran to the international community. Iranium premiered on February 8, and was featured on a one hour Fox News channel special with top-10 radio and television commentator, Sean Hannity. Live and Let Live

In his speech on the turmoil in Libya, President Obama used the phrase “international community” three times. He did not say the name “Muammar Qaddafi” once. By the time it was obvious that the dictator was slaughtering his own people, vowing to “cleanse Libya house by house” and “die as a martyr,” President Obama could not muster the fortitude to denounce the Qaddafi regime by name or articulate any action that would prevent the loss of human life. With all that is at his disposal to influence the ending of this bloodshed, the president has opted to allow America to stand by silently on the sidelines and watch the massacre unfold.

The president’s response to Libya was so milquetoast, in fact, that even left-wing MSNBC host Chris Matthews was left longing for a Reagan-esque “evil empire” moment. Even liberal commentator Eugene Robinson was moved to call for U.S. action in his recent column. The tone of the president’s remarks exhibited a bizarre disconnect as well. Notwithstanding the president’s great faith in the opinion of the “international community,” a despot like Qaddafi, who speaks earnestly in terms of political cleansing and martyrdom, surely cannot be rhetorically coerced to end his rampage, and he clearly is not sensitive — to say the least — about the feelings of the “international community.” more

UCF Stifles Discussion of Terrorism and Muslim Brotherhood

If the President of the University of Central Florida (UCF), Dr. John Hitt, were arrested tomorrow for material support of terrorism, he might finally begin to understand the irresponsible and dangerous actions he continues to allow his university to take in giving terrorist supporters a platform.

We can begin this discussion with the UCF Muslim Students Association (MSA). The MSA was created by the Muslim Brotherhood at the University of Illinois in 1963. The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) is an international revolutionary organization whose objectives are (1) the re-establishment of the global Islamic state (Caliphate) and (2) the global implementation of Islamic Law. The MB creed includes the phrase “…Jihad is our way, and martyrdom in the way of Allah is our highest aspiration.” Every leader of the Muslim Brotherhood since its founding has reaffirmed the creed, and (until recently) their English website (http://go.madmimi.com/redirects/48eb737f2203ffcac42b9266dde9c343?pa=3034234521) contained the MB By-Laws which articulated their readiness to “fight the tyrants” in preparation for establishing the Islamic state.

This past Friday, February 25, UCF’s Muslim Students Association hosted Sirhaj Wahajj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

The MSA continues to host would-be-terrorists as speakers for their events. Why does UCF’s leadership continue to allow this? If this was happening at a university in your hometown, would you sit idly by or would you do something about it?

Contact the Office of the President of the University of Central Florida, a tax-payer funded university, stating your objection to the dangerous actions he has allowed his university to take in giving terrorist supporters a platform.

Say NO to terrorism! Click HERE to contact UCF’s president, and assert that supporters of terrorism have no place on our campuses.
