ACT! FOR CANADA NEWSLETTER - MAY 18, 2013

"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed;
  if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly;
 you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds
against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case:
you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory,
because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."

~ Winston Churchill ~

PAMELA GELLER IN TORONTO – MAY 13, 2013

Pamela Geller has been dissected, bisected and rejected; she has been vilified, crucified and marginalized; she has been slandered, reviled and maligned. And yet when you question her detractors, they cannot articulate a rational basis for their vicious responses. They hate her because she speaks the truth. They fear her because she doesn't sugarcoat the fact that we are at war and is not afraid to name the enemy. Thank goodness for courageous people like her. Pamela Geller is the real deal.

Oh Canada!
Inspector Ricky Veerappan of the York Regional Police’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau tried to strong-arm Chabad Rabbi Mendel Kaplan into canceling  Pamela Geller’s speech. Thanks to the determination and the will of Meir Weinstein of the Jewish Defense League, the sold out event was moved to the Toronto Zionist Centre. The Ottawa Citizen said in an editorial: “The York Regional Police department should be ashamed”.

It seemed to me that it would be worthwhile to hear what Geller had to say for herself, rather than to make a judgment based on what others said about her, so I accepted an invitation to hear her speech.  I'm glad I did, because just about everything I'd heard about Pamela Geller was a lie.
There was nothing "anti-Muslim" in anything she said. Her fight is with Jihadism, a fanatical ideology which promotes violence and terror. Geller said her principal motivation is the struggle to preserve individual liberty, which Islamism, like Marxism, fights to repress.

Pamela Geller, Jewish Heroine

Pamela Geller is one of the most courageous Jewish women of our time. That’s because, in a time of cowardice, she says the plain truth about things that so many want so much not to hear that they have made the plain truth a taboo. Like a good Jew, Pamela breaks icons. And for that she gets ostracized, and cursed, and threatened with bodily harm and worse. Pamela Geller thinks Radical Islam is a threat to Western civilization and that our politically correct leaders who insist on being willfully blind are endangering us all.

Pamela Geller Speech – Toronto Zionist Centre – May 13, 2013

Pipes is Tolerated, Geller is Not
According to Andrew Bostom: "One must ask, 'What Went Wrong' with Daniel Pipes who now sprays (Edward) Saidian charges of 'essentialism' at brave Muslim freethinkers like Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Wafa Sultan, as well as the stalwart Dutch politician Geert Wilders, for simply rejecting his self-contradictory mantras on 'Islamism.'" Even worse,  Pipes said  “the religion of Islam itself is not inherently hostile to Jews, and Muslim anti-Semitism scarcely existed before the establishment of the state of Israel."

Islam vs. Islamism, again
Moderate Islam is a solution that does not exist, and can only be a solution if it could be successfully invented. Calling upon Muslims to renounce the aspects of their theology that violate basic human rights will never be effective if we do not acknowledge that those aspects exist -- and that requires talking about Islam.

CAIR Books Radicals for Fundraising Banquets

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is using Islamist radicals to raise money throughout the country, according to a Clarion Project review of their fundraising banquets. CAIR calls itself “America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group,” but has been labeled a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity by the federal government and attacks the integrity of its moderate Muslim rivals.

Benghazi: Murder and Treachery Most Foul?

According to Judge Jeanine Pirro, whose fiery speech is one of the best to be found on the subject of Benghazi, our president and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton knew a "stand down" order had effectively sealed the fate of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.  They died because men who could have saved them were not sent to help.  Pirro states both Obama and Clinton lied, leaving all four men to die.

The Bloody Hands of Barack Obama

The Three Whistleblowers at the Benghazi hearing spoke softly, but with the emotional wallop of The Three Tenors.  They told the truth, and it blasted like thunder through Obama's tissue palace of lies. The America of Gregory Hicks, Mark Thompson, and Eric Nordstrom won World War II, walked on the moon, and defeated Communism.  But today, their America is forced to serve a different god: a cold, smiling man with a hollow heart and hands that get bloodier by the day.
