In an
interview with BBC World Service in 2012, American freelance photojournalist
James Foley said he was motivated to work in Iraq, Libya, and Syria
because he and other journalists are “drawn to the human rights side” of
conflicts, that he wanted to convey “who these people really are”. He probably
did not suspect then he would pay the ultimate price in a video of his
beheading by a jihadist with a British accent.
Don't Condemn
Hostages Who Denounce America
If a subject attempts to make his
last words a defiant declaration of love of and loyalty to America, the jihadis
do not kill him. Instead, they return him to their imprisonment and
fiercely torture him for his defiance. That diabolical cleverness puts
hostages into an entirely no-win position: they can be defiant before the video
cameras and live to suffer more torture, or they can spout the jihadi propaganda
and hope that their sadistic masters will not choose that moment to saw off
their heads.

fact that they may be born of psychological forces like underlying feelings of

SEALs, and our antipsychotics are Black Hawks, and we cannot believe for one
moment that the psychosis will not spread and threaten us all with delusional

A Cogent Policy on Terrorism

them, need to expand their goals and their means to achieve them. So far
President Obama has talked only of containing Isis, of preventing it from

mountain. Obama calls them JVers — tell that to these girls and their
families in between rounds of golf.
We can't afford to let Isis run wild in Iraq
It
will not be quick or easy to reverse the gains that Isis has made. But with the
right strategy, appropriate resources and a little determination, Mosul and
Fallujah can be retaken before the self-styled Islamic Caliphate solidifies its
hold on a region larger than Jordan. However much they may want to avoid
further entanglement in the messy Middle East, Obama and Cameron have no choice
but to act unless they want to leave a new terrorist state as part of their
legacy in office.
ISIS 'A
National Security Threat'
Just as Japan and Germany were once threats to free people, so are Islamic
fanatics by whatever label they wear. The beheading of James Foley, an American
photojournalist, and a threat to behead a second American kidnapped by ISIS
fighters is only the latest of numerous atrocities perpetrated by these
fanatics. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) says: "Allowing the Islamic
State and its jihadist leaders to maintain their newly established caliphate in
the heart of the Middle East is a national security threat to the United States
and to our allies in the region."
The portrait of Baghdadi and his
Islamic State was chilling. Under its original name, al-Qaeda in Iraq, the
group ferociously battled U.S. forces. Most of its leading fighters were
imprisoned by U.S. occupation troops, but incarceration was a school for jihad,
and they emerged tougher, better connected and more dedicated. Although the
group is preoccupied with its battles in Iraq and Syria, another official noted
a chilling Internet statement several months ago: “America, we have not turned
our gaze away from you.”

Fears are
growing for the 300 Yazidi women reportedly kidnapped by Islamic State fighters
last week amid claims they would be used to bear children to break up the
ancient sect's bloodline. The minority group is originally Aryan and has
retained a fairer complexion, blonde hair and blue eyes by only marrying within
the community. But in a furious bid to convert all non-Muslims, ISIS jihadists
have vowed to impregnate the hostages.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a
ready-made caliphate king in the Time of Obama
Baghdadi’s a 42-year-old Samarra-born jihadist
yahoo who went all the way from a U.S. detention camp to the top of the
jihadist universe and a $10 million bounty on his head with no one barring his
way. Like so many freed from Club Gitmo, Baghdadi always got a pass. How
Baghdadi and his terrorists must have rolled in raucous laughter when they read
how the word ‘terrorist’ had been government-removed from the American lexicon.
How they must have cheered when five top Taliban generals were released all to
get deserter Bowe Bergdahl back.
The
exiled Chaldean Catholic archbishop of Mosul, Iraq, is warning westerners about
welcoming an increasing number of Muslims into their countries, naively
believing that they too believe in democratic principles. “Our sufferings today
are the prelude of those you, Europeans and Western Christians, will also
suffer in the near future,” said Archbishop Amel Shimoun Nona.
Christians and
Yazidis in Iraq – and a World’s Indifference
Christians and Yazidis are true victims of Islamic
intolerance, and the barbarism of the Islamic State. But there are no protest
marches in European capitals or American cities on behalf of the Christians and
Yazidis of Iraq like those recently held in solidarity with Hamas in Gaza.
Unlike the Palestinians in Gaza, the Christians and
Yazidis will not get the UNHRC (UN Human Rights Council) to investigate “war
crimes” committed against them. Nor will they get a special refugee agency
– UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine) with a budget of
$1billion, to rebuild their lives. At best, the U.S. military, not the UN, will
continue to deliver food and water for those stranded in the mountains.
Destroy the Caliphate!
We can no longer be blind to the threat posed
by the Islamic State. Obama stated that a political
settlement is needed. The absurdity of that statement underscores the
extent to which the administration does not understand the threat of Islamist
fascism. When will the administration learn that you can’t negotiate or
reason with Islamists. As Senator Marco Rubio put it: “For more than a
year, ISIL has been murdering civilians, raping women and young girls and
enslaving them, and carrying out systematic genocide of anyone who does not
share their warped and extremist Islamist views. ISIL cannot be reasoned
with, they can’t be negotiated with, and their views of the world is
irreconcilable with civilized society.”
Britain’s beheaders – How we Came to Export Jihad
It
is the now familiar nightmare image. A kneeling prisoner, and behind him a
black-hooded man speaking to camera. The standing man denounces the West and
claims that his form of Islam is under attack. He then saws off the head of the
hostage. This battle is going on in households and mosques up and down this
country. We fear joining up these dots. And we fear giving offence more than we
fear the international opprobrium that is coming our way. The country that
brought liberty to much of the world is now exporting terrorism to large parts
of it. Britain needs to look to itself, and address this problem, if there are
not to be many more videos like this week’s.

it will return. Israel has never performed the necessary excision. They have to
go in and execute Ismail Haniyeh, and all of Hamas' executive leadership. When
pressed by the media, Israel has to say defiantly, “It is us or them. This land
is too small. If you pity them, you take them. Come! Pick them up. They are
yours. We are not going to die to ease your conscience.”
Who Watches the Watchers?
No other country in the world - even those like the Sudan, North Korea and Iran - who have committed genuine massive human rights violations - have ever been the object of such massive condemnations as Israel has selectively been. And as far as the official inclusion of Hamas actions into the investigative agenda of these groups, we know that their inclusion is only window dressing, designed to give the false veneer that their investigations are "even handed."
Understanding the
Israeli-Egyptian-Saudi Alliance
Hamas was once
funded by Saudi Arabia and enabled by Egypt. Now the regimes of these countries
view it as part of a larger axis of Sunni jihad that threatens not only Israel,
but them. The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, and its state sponsors Qatar and Turkey,
are the key members of this alliance structure. Without their support Hamas
would have gone down with the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt last summer.
As it stands, all view Hamas’s war with Israel as a means of reinstating the

Justin Trudeau and mainstream politicians should
dissociate themselves from what radicalizes young Canadian Muslims
After Justin Trudeau was criticized for visiting what he
acknowledged to be “a Wahhabi mosque” in Montreal in 2011, and for declaring
himself proud of it in Calgary in 2013, Ihsaan Gardee, the Executive Director
of the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), came to the Liberal
leader’s defence in The Gazette last Thursday. Gardee argued that this was no
big deal because politicians from other parties had also visited the place
before.
When Trudeau was criticized in 2012 after confirming his
participation in the Reviving the Islamic Spirit convention in spite of the
fact that the event was sponsored by the terrorist organization Hamas’ fund
collector in Canada, the organizers took the same line of defence. They
highlighted that PM Harper had sent a congratulatory statement to the
convention in 2011 and that RCMP Commissioner Zaccardelli had addressed the
event in 2004.
Unfortunately, contrary to what Gardee implies, lack of due
diligence by politicians belonging to competing parties do not cancel each
other out; they compound. This type of public endorsement makes it all the more
difficult for civil servants to revoke the charity status of Islamist
organizations whenever needed and sometimes to stop funding them.
Before the leak of a U.S. Department of Defence report
identifying the Assunah mosque as an Al-Qaeda recruitment centre in 2011, it
was the subject of a documentary by the French CBC in 2006. A journalist
infiltrated the mosque and recorded the imam who concluded his Friday sermon by
saying: “Allah, kill all the enemies of Islam to the last one”. Books available
at the mosque advocated the killing of Muslims who do not practice their
religion, depicted Jews as they were in the Nazi cartoons of the thirties and
described one objective of jihad as being the “terrorizing” of unbelievers “in
order to humiliate them”.
The Assunah mosque has a charitable status with the Canada
Revenue Agency (CRA). For the 2006-2010 period alone, it transferred $370,951
to IRFAN, Hamas’ fund collector in Canada. IRFAN’s charitable status was
revoked in April 2011 after the CRA determined that it transferred $14.6
million to Hamas for the 2005-2009 period alone. In 2014, the Government of
Canada listed IRFAN as a terrorist organization.
In his letter to the Gazette, Ihsaan Gardee commented that
“If violent extremism is being initiated or promoted within a place of worship,
then swift law enforcement action is warranted”. This is completely
disingenuous on Gardee’s part, given that his organization constantly denounces
as Islamophobes those who try to alert the public about the pre-violence stages
of the radicalization that goes on in numerous Islamic centres and that
precedes the overt justification of violence and the call to arms. To counter
the radicalization of young Muslims in Canada in a significant way, the debate
must go beyond the single Wahhabi Assuna mosque and target the ideology and its
financing arms.
In a letter published by the National Post last Saturday,
Ingrid Ravary-Konopka, Trudeau’s riding executive assistant between 2008 and
2013, took responsibility for having sent him to the Assunah mosque “based on
what I knew then,” she underscores. She hints that she could have done things
differently had she had known more at the time. Her second thoughts are
welcomed.
Politicians, journalists and community leaders must target
the ideology of those who radicalize young Muslims in Canada, incite them to go
kill abroad and threaten our future. Drastic changes are required in order to
discourage young Muslims, such as Farah Shirdon, Damian Clairmont and others to
go to the Middle East to kill “non-believers.” Changes are required to prevent
more Ferid Imams, the former president of the Muslim Students Association at
the University of Manitoba, to go train other radicals in Pakistan who then
come back to attack North American infrastructures.

The RCMP and other Canadian security agencies still consult Islamist leaders involved in the radicalization of young Muslims
In a recent article, analyst Jonathan Halevi published a useful recap about 30 young Muslims or so who planned jihad attacks in Canada or went abroad to wage it since 2012. As Halevi indicates, this important number demonstrates that “the likelihood of terrorism within Canada has increased in the past year due to external radical influences, particularly al Qaida and its affiliates.” Three weeks ago, security analyst David B. Harris went along the same lines when he predicted that it is only a matter of time before suicide bombers start detonating in Canada.

President Barack Obama has long depicted himself as a
defender of women’s and LGBT rights not only in the United States but across
the world as well. Yet, where is his voice when it comes to the growing number
of executions and the persecution of the gay and lesbian community as

why has the LGBT movement not criticized the Obama administration or
made a movement over these injustices, egregious actions, and human rights

The bloodthirsty and brutal Islamic terrorist
group. Boko Haram, appear to be attempting to show the world that they’re equal
opportunity kidnappers on Friday when they invaded a village in Nigeria and abducted
dozens of boys and young men, loaded them on trucks, and then drove out of the
village with them, according to news reports in Africa and the Middle East.
Boko Haram is recognized by many as the biggest security threat to Nigeria
which is Africa’s top economy and oil producer. The jihadists have increased
their terror operations that target civilians and the group is becoming more
and more violent and brutal.
The New Romantics - "Being Fair" to Terrorist Groups
The gay solidarity groups back the speech of radical
Muslim clerics who, in the Middle East, would kill any stray homosexual
crossing their path. There go the sisterhoods, arm in friendly arm with men who
despise women and would put all of them back into niqabs, burqas and
house-seclusion at the first opportunity. There go the fresh-faced young
women-converts to Islam, on a desperate hunt for husbands to dominate and
possibly beat them while dreaming of children to train as future martyrs. And
there march Neturei Karta and other Jewish extremists and leftists, hand in
hand with their future killers.
The Fate of the
West
It is not surprising that Western people who feel a
spiritual need may embrace Islam more easily than Christianity, when the latter
has been the butt of constant attacks, denigrations and ridicule for a very
long time, increasing since the 1960s, while the former is continually — albeit
seriously mistakenly — praised as a religion of peace, tolerance and great
wisdom.

Nothing to Do
With Islam
As for “moderate” Muslims, those
ordinary millions who we are constantly told abhor the jihadists as violators
of the true Islam are, with some rare exceptions like M. Zudhi Jasser,
curiously silent in the face of horrific jihadist violence against
non-Muslims, the beheadings, torture, crucifixions, rape, kidnappings, and
indiscriminate slaughter of women and children justified by supposedly
slanderous distortions of their faith. After every jihadist atrocity, we
never see global mass protests against this malicious degradation of Islam.
But after 9/11, we did see thousands of Muslims worldwide cheering the
attack in a “tremendous wave of joy,” as a London-based Saudi cleric wrote to
President Bush in a Muslim newspaper.
Sharks and Islamists: Equally Misunderstood?
When
Western liberals hold Muslims to a lower standard than the rest of
humanity—ignoring the beheadings, massacres, rapes, enslavements, and church
burnings habitually committed by the likes of the Islamic State, Boko Haram,
Al Shabaab, et al.—are they not, in essence, placing such Muslims on a
“subhuman” level? Are they not, in essence, saying that they are
like brute and instinctive animals—sharks for instance—not to be held
responsible for their actions?
Why Is the Islamic
State Behaving This Way?
The Islamic State is turning into a
huge public relations problem for groups like the Hamas-linked Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and its allies. For years they have
insisted that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing whatsoever to do
with the terrorism committed with alarming regularity in its name, and that
the people responsible for linking Islam with terrorism were not Islamic
jihad terrorists, but “Islamophobic” opponents of jihad terror. But then
comes along a group calling itself The Islamic State, committing unimaginable
atrocities and presenting each one as an authentic embodiment of Islamic
texts and teachings, and the deception campaign at which CAIR officials have
labored so assiduously for so many years, and with such great success, is in
danger of crashing around their uneasy necks.
