Late last week Bill DeSteph, a Virginia Beach, Virginia City Councilman and ACT! for America member, mailed a letter protesting the “Ground Zero Mosque” to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. We are proud that as an ACT! for America member and public servant he has set a stellar example for fellow public servants across America. Not surprisingly, Bill is taking some heat for his courageous stand. LET BILL KNOW WE’RE STANDING WITH HIM BY VOTING IN THIS ONLINE POLL. Do you know a city council member or county commissioner who has the boldness and clarity of vision demonstrated by Bill DeSteph? Then urge him or her to draft a letter like Bill’s and mail it to Mayor Bloomberg. Consider the impact if 100 city and county officials fired off such a letter to Mayor Bloomberg this week! And 100 more did so next week! The opposition to the “Ground Zero Mosque” is rising. Yesterday, over 5,000 people rallied in Manhattan against the mosque.
