I am offended
In a week that saw close to 30 people murdered in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the liberal and dhimmified media are quick to blame the loon, attention seeking Pastor Jones over the burning of a Koran.
Right or wrong, the Koran is a book filled with hate. Allah is a very angry God that needs help from mortals with exterminating Jews and in fact, anyone else that dares disagree with him. Verse after verse of angry, evil rants jump out, so much so that a lay person could easily feel ill from what they have read.
General Petraeus spoke out and condemned the burning, by stating that the act itself put US soldier’s lives in danger in Afghanistan. Petraeus forgot that US soldiers are already in danger by being in a theatre of war and questionably, by his rules of engagement. Leading anti-Semite and UN leader Ban Ki Moon took a moment out from bashing Israel to condemn the burning in what he termed 'a despicable act'. How much credibility can we give a man that appoints Libya to a key UN post and Iran to head Women’s Rights in the United Nations Human Right Council (UNHRC)?
The truth is that Muslims worldwide aren’t that dissimilar to a whining, spoiled child, except that a child will grow and learn after 1400 years. Dare you speak out against Islam, the wrath of the Islamic world is upon you and they will cry and moan and kill. That’s what they do best.
Outspoken Dutch politician Geert Wilders is no stranger to this type of behavior. It was reported that during his widely publicized visit to the House of Lords, Geert traveled with 4 Special Forces security guards, armed with machine guns. He had outraged the Islamic world for speaking the truth on the dangers of Islam and producing a short film entitled ‘Fitna’. Over 350 death threats have directly targeted him since 2004.
In late 2005, a Danish newspaper published cartoons of Muhammad by Kurt Westergaard. This led to protests across the Muslim world, resulting in a total of more than 100 deaths. The violence also saw Muslims setting fire to the Danish Embassies in Syria, Lebanon and Iran, storming European buildings, and desecrating the Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, French and German flags in Gaza City. Several unsuccessful attempts have also been made on Westergaards’ life.
Perhaps it is just a few things that Muslims are offended by and we can surely accommodate them and be more sensitive. Unfortunately, it’s not so simple and many things offend Muslims. Here is a really small sample:
St Georges Cross: Chris Doyle, director of the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding, said that the Red Cross was an insensitive reminder of the Crusades. “A lot of Muslims and Arabs view the Crusades as a bloody episode in our history,” he said. “They see those campaigns as Christendom launching a brutal holy war against Islam."
Israeli flag: The Associated Press featured a picture of two Palestinian women tearing apart an Israeli flag with their teeth. They were offended that the damned Zionists were protecting themselves from the countless Palestinian rockets fired into their cities.
Beslan Massacre Memorial: Muslims we very offended at the thought of a memorial commemorating over 330 people, mostly children, heinously slaughtered at the hands of Chechens. “It is not acceptable to present this tragedy as the tragedy of followers of only one religion," Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the Council of Russian Muftis, said in a statement. "We need a monument on this site that symbolizes a national tragedy, without any religious undertones, where everyone can come and shed their tears."
Graves of Biblical figures, Joshua and Caleb: Members of the One Shechem organization that organizes visits to the graves arrived in the village of Timnat Haress, near Ariel in Samaria. They were preparing for a special prayer gathering and discovered that Arab vandals had desecrated the village’s Jewish tombs. The tombs of Joshua, Nun, and Caleb were covered with garbage and feces – both human and animal, and anti-Semitic and Nazi slogans and symbols had been painted in the area.
Let’s also include: The Trinity, Pope Benedict XVI. Pope John Paul II, Coptic Pope Shenouda III, Robert Spencer, The name "Crusaders" , The Cross, Christmas presents, Santa Claus, Bibles, selling Bibles, Lip synching videos, Craig Winn, Prayer, Valentine's Day, Christians who accidentally touch the Koran, Street Evangelists, The Letter X, Muslim converts to Christianity, the Knights of Malta, The Bishop of Rochester, Use of the word Allah by Catholics, Christians proselytizing to Muslims, Church Bells, a picture of Jesus hung on a staffroom wall, Father Zakariah, Jerry Falwell, a coin with John 3:16 printed on it, Eli Soriano, dating a Polish Catholic Girl, UK Radio Minister Rev Masih, Zion Baptist Church in Rochdale, UK, Rotary and Lions Clubs, Hector Aleem, the color red near Valentine's Day, Christians who use the word "Allah" to describe God, Fr Daniil Sysoyev. The existence of Israel, The reality of the holocaust, Holocaust Day, Teaching of the Holocaust, Annapolis Peace Talks, A Rabbi speaking at an Islamic University, An Israeli Vodka Bottle with a Picture of Jerusalem, Paper cups that were made in Israel, luggage from Israel, an Israeli soccer team, The Torah scrolls at Hebron, Tennis Star Shahar Peer, the Israeli Taekwondo team and that’s the short list.
All of the above has resulted in someone being killed, threatened or harassed, a flag or a building being burned, a campaign of protest or lobbying of authorities. If Mohammed or Allah hasn’t said its ok, then it’s forbidden.
Muslims slaughtered people in New York, London and Madrid and expect no criticism for these atrocities. I am here to say that I am offended. I am offended that every day since you slaughtered 3000 innocent people in New York, you continue to murder Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Sikhs and others because they don’t believe what you do. I am offended that you migrate to Western nations that, clearly offer a higher standard of living than in your Muslim-majority counties. While on welfare at our expense you call for our destruction. I am offended that almost everyday I read about the rape of a child or the marriage of a child to a grown man, just because Mohammed did so. The list of ways that you offend me is endless.
Unlike you, I have not burned a flag or beheaded someone or stormed a compound or an embassy. The rest of the world has moved forward from the dark ages and has grown up. It’s about time that the adherents of Islam did the same.
