The Dangerous Lie Of The Hijab
Islam is not about garments, any more than a hijab actually covers anything but a woman's hair. In fact, to the contrary, a hijab-wearing woman in the West attracts attention to herself merely by the fact of the scarf itself, and to the political statement it really represents: "I am not-you. I am Muslim. I am other, and I reject what is not me." It pronounces the "us" of "us and them" in a gesture of arrogance and isolationism, while ignoring the greater truth of any faith: that it exists in your heart and in your behavior, and no more.

A Layman’s Guide to Revolutionary Sunni Islamism, the World’s Greatest Threat

The Muslim Brotherhood wants Sharia states. It would like a caliphate (run by itself of course). It wants Israel wiped off the map and America kicked out of the Middle East. It wants women put into second-class citizenship and gays put into their graves. It wants Christians subordinated or thrown out. It wants all of these things.

Hamas-linked CAIR opposes antisemitism resolution because it "stifles robust political debate on university campuses"

Robert Spencer does not support restrictions on the freedom of speech, but the hypocrisy of Hamas-linked CAIR's stance here is striking. The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which does all it can to shut down robust political debate when it is engaged in by counter-jihadists, has at last come out in favor of the freedom of speech! There's just one catch: they're opposing a resolution that would ban antisemitic activity.

Following is the letter Robert Spencer then sent to Hamas-linked CAIR’s Ibrahim Hooper.  He doubts he will hear back.

Dear Mr. Hooper ,

I read with great interest CAIR-California's call to reject the UC anti-Semitism resolution on the grounds that it would interfere with "robust political debate." I must say that I was a bit surprised: after having worked so energetically over the last few years to get me and other critics of jihad and Islamic supremacism banned from speaking on campuses and in numerous other venues (such as the American Library Association conference, from which CAIR's Ahmed Rehab was pivotal in getting me canceled), it was extremely heartening to see CAIR finally come around to endorsing the principles of free speech and "robust political debate."
In accord with your new spirit of openness to genuine discussion and dialogue, I'd like to invite you to appear on my monthly show on the Aramaic Broadcasting Network, www.abnsat.com. This network goes via satellite all over the Arabic-speaking world, and so I am certain that a discussion on issues of jihad terror, "Islamophobia" and the like would be of great interest to ABN's viewing audience.
My show runs for an hour and a half and is broadcast once a month, but the specific date is flexible -- please let me know what would be a good date for you to appear on the show in September, and I will make every effort to accommodate you. You could appear from the comfort of your office in Washington, or any other location you chose, via Skype.
Congratulations and thanks again for CAIR's strong endorsement of "robust political debate." I look forward into engaging in just that with you, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance.
Warmest regards
Robert Spencer

Islamist Vandals Wage War on Free Speech

Up to now, such acts of vigilante censorship on behalf of Islam have been relatively rare in the U.S., whose First Amendment traditionally has fostered a society in which controversial speech is opposed with more speech, not crudely silenced. However, America may be inching closer to other Western nations where Islamists and their fellow travelers have long made a habit of countering “offensive” words and images with vandalism — an important symptom of creeping Shari‘a that is worth examining in detail.

Afghanistan
Juma Khan an elder from Helmand province in Afghanistan where the Taliban beheaded 15 men and 2 women after an ‘immoral’ house party commented:

“Unfortunately the young men do this sometimes. They had a party with music and dancing, and they were behaving badly with the women.”

Response of Hamid Karzai, the Afghan president, in response to the slaughter of innocent civilians:

“This attack shows that there are irresponsible members among the Taliban.”

Is this what our brave men and women fighting in Afghanistan are dying for?  And will this courageous woman be next?

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

TUESDAY IS VOTING DAY IN QUEBEC
Voting in any type of election, from local elections to the Prime Minister provides an important way to voice your opinions regarding elected leaders and overall policies; voting also helps you decide your own future by electing a person who might reflect your own views. The ability to vote exists as one of the most cherished parts of our democracy and freedom.  Men and women have fought for, marched for, and died for this right over the centuries and it is an insult to their memory to NOT cast your ballot.

If the right to vote no longer existed, this country would no longer survive as a democratic nation, but completely totalitarian. By not voting, you give away your right to influence the government overall. More importantly, however, not voting takes away the "will of the majority that governs this country, but [replaces it with] the will of the minority" .
