Petition King to End Male Guardianship']: I wouldn't hold out much hope for
this petition. The "Royal family" may give it lip service but it
will take a fundamental shift in thinking to implement it and that is
unlikely to occur. Do not forget that over 4,500 Islamic Scholars and Imams
are imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for opposing the ultra restrictive House of
Saud. Their position of power is dependent on their brutal police state and
the support of US and UK governments.
