 Dear DHFC Supporter,  Has America lost its mind? Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist who murdered and wounded dozens of people at Fort Hood, was a Muslim fanatic who wrote Internet postings praising Islamic suicide bombers and was in touch with the former radical leader of a Virginia mosque who had associations with the 9/11 hijackers. The Army knew Hassan was a supporter of the Islamic jihad against the west; he had been under investigation for six months. Yet he remained an Army Major, with access to military intelligence and lethal weaponry. Why? Because the Army was afraid that if it dealt with Hassan it would violate the principle of "diversity." From the moment Hassan's murder spree was announced, Army spokesmen and media pundits alike expressed puzzlement about what his motive could have been. Are they nuts? We at the Freedom Center have no doubt about what his motive was. I'll bet you don't either. The American people are enraged - but they are also confused as a result of the years-long campaign to minimize the threat of radical Islam, to paint Islam as "the religion of peace," and to marginalize critics of the jihad as guilty of "Islamophobia." I'm writing to ask your help - and because of the fog being spread over the worst terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11 by the mainstream media and even U.S. Army officials in Washington, we need to act immediately. We need to connect the dots for the patriotic Americans who are shocked and infuriated by the Fort Hood massacre, and ready to act.
