By Kelly Cook, National Field Director Have you ever asked yourself what is one of the single most important actions you can do personally that would make a lasting impact on the war with radical Islam? The following very simple communication with your local Mayor, City Councilman, County Commissioner or School Board Member will go a long way towards making your community an example of how to stand up against the funding of jihad/terrorism by 4 major U.S. corporations! I’m not asking you to learn all the intricacies of this major problem called Shariah Islamic Finance. I’m just asking you to make the introductions between our team and your local elected officials. And what a team we’ve got! Joy Brighton oversees our Stop Shariah Now Campaign. She is a Wall Street veteran who has correctly perceived the huge problem of allowing corporate profits to flow towards terrorism. She knows the industry and the games that are played in Shariah Islamic Finance and Banking. Joy can deal with the questions that will come her way regarding this issue and the threats it is producing. Lisa Piraneo is our Director of Government Relations on Capitol Hill. She understands the legislative process and will be a great help toward walking your local elected officials through the process of getting our Stop Shariah Now ordinance passed at the municipal level. Step #1: Select a local elected official to contact. Either call them or send them an email with the following statement: “This is (your name) and I live in (city or town). I’m part of an organization called ACT! for America. We are concerned about the growing outbursts of Islamic extremism in America. You will be shocked to learn that major firms like Citibank, AIG, and others are quietly creating Islamic banking departments within their banks, controlled by Islamic Sheiks to cash in on the promise of oil money profits. Worse, money is being sent off to Mosques directly and terror organizations indirectly. Numerous municipalities and districts around the country have expressed interest in exposing this activity through a nation-wide campaign at the local level. “I hope our (city, town, county or school district) will consider joining this effort by learning more now. “I’d like to schedule 12 minutes of your time at your office. There will be a 6 minute video clip I’d like to show you on this subject during this time. When’s the best time for you?” They’ll either say yes or no. You might have to call a few elected officials to get a yes, but just keep calling until you do. Be sure to either bring a lap top with you or make sure you’ll be able to use a desk top PC at their office. (Oftentimes you will be dealing with an assistant. This is not a problem. Work with them on this process as well. The elected official doesn’t have to go through these steps personally, they’ll just need to work on it after their assistant fills them in.) Step #2: The Appointment. Thank them for meeting with you. Remember: 12 minutes max! If you overstay your welcome, our chances of success will go down. Dubai Situation Update By Joy Brighton, MBA, Shariah Islamic Finance Act! for America Fellow "You may have read that, On Nov 27, a large issuer of Islamic bonds in Dubai, called Dubai World (a gov't owned corporation, essentially mini-sovereign wealth fund) announced they are having difficulty paying interest on up to $59B in Islamic bonds. This is the reason that the Dubai financial markets and all global markets are in sell mode, with lots of concern and nervousness. Suddenly news articles are reporting on the lack of transparency of these Islamic bonds, known as Sukuk. There is confusion about how Shariah Law and U.S. Securities protect investors differently and which law takes precedent in these "shariah compliant" investments. (NYSE:C) has the most exposure of an U.S. bank to the Dubai debt crisis, having lent $1.9 billion to the United Arab Emirates. Overall, the United States lent out $13.4 billion to the UAE". HSBC has $15.9B exposure to Dubai. Have they been sold off, spreading the risk among global investors? Now is the time to yell to expose the real risk of Islamic bonds and investments: they provide the financial blood flow to promote the political movement of Shariah, which is the written law of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Hamas, Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Banks and insurance companies are hiring Shariah Imams to donate certain profits to "charity", which legitimately go to Mosques, CAIR , and terror organizations according to Shariah Law. Shariah Islamic banking was started by Iran in 1978, and Banks with significant American customer bases like HSBC, AIG, UBS and Citi are adopting the Iranian Banking system. Shariah Islamic Banking and Iranian banking are one and the same. All because there are profits to be had by banks. What about protecting our national security? Our political and religious freedoms?
