Fascists in North Carolina

Fascists in North Carolina

2010 March 1

These are “fascists”? If you want to see fascists go to a college campus when a conservative tries to give a speech.

I’m sitting in a hotel room in Raleigh-Durham after an unpleasant cross country American Airlines flight which was delayed two hours on the tarmac in Dallas for what was described as a “simple repair” but obviously wasn’t. Consequently, I’m a little sleep deprived as I prepare mentally for my speech tonight at the University of North Carolina. I have just been informed moreover that after viewing the online video of my speech last week at the University of Massachusetts and the ugly response of the Bolsheviks who attended (“F— you Horowitz, f—you, f—you” screamed one while draping himself in the flag of Palestinian terrorism) the campus authorities at UNC have decided to assign 10 to 12 armed officers to the event “just to be safe.” The tactics of UNC’s fascist left was so severe the last time a conservative spoke– including throwing objects at the stage – that six students had to be arrested. But even then the speaker, former congressman and presidential candidate Tom Tancredo, was unable to continue. Lest anyone think this is unusual, the same travesty took place at UMass with the previous conservative speaker to me who was Boston Herald columnist Don Feder.

It is quite revealing that so-called liberal sophisticates like Frank Rich portray tea party activists as crypto-fascists and ignore the real fascists among us. The tea partiers have not obstructed a single speech or committed a single act of violence. Of course Rich orchestrates this slander by pretending that lunatic leftists like the suicide bomber who flew his plane into the IRS building are really conservatives (See Ron Radosh’s blog). How is it that liberal alarmists like Rich, E.J. Dionne and Joe Klein to name a tiny sampling miss this domestic fascism, which comes along with its signature Jew-hatred (only last week erupting again on the UC Irvine campus over a speech by the noted historian Michael Oren, who is also Israel’s ambassador to the United States)? Obviously, it is because it comes from the left and is now an indisputable fact of American campus life. And why is that so? Because leftwing activists have colonized the faculties of American universities and turned entire departments into training and recruitment centers for their political agendas, transforming the academic environment itself in the process. About this national tragedy, the liberal elites are in total denial. And of course they are in denial about the Islamo-fascists as well. Instead their hysteria and their malice is directed at George Bush and Sarah Palin, and the tea party conservatives.
