Islamism in its political form is used to subjugate women (including Muslim women) and non-Muslim minorities, and this political ideology soon leads to support for terrorism and acts of guerilla war - radical Islamism. The main victims of Islamist terrorism are Muslims. Islamists have well-organized international networks around the globe, and in order to fully understand the threat that these groups pose, it is important to think "globally" and look beyond our national borders to see what they do.
