Geert Wilders not guilty on all charges!

Free speech vindicated in the Netherlands, while Tulsa police captain fights for his constitutional rights here in America

Please sign our petition today!

Chalk one up for freedom of speech, victory over political correctness and victory over the appeasement of radical Islam.

Dutch MP Geert Wilders has finally been vindicated (see story below).

How ironic that in the “land of the free and the home of the brave,” Tulsa police captain Paul Fields was demoted and suspended after he refused to attend an Islamic proselytizing event.

We believe one thing Wilders would say to us is this: The silent capitulation by too many of the Dutch people led to an environment in his country where exercising freedom of speech could lead to one’s arrest.

We believe he would warn us that, if we stand idly and quietly by while a law enforcement officer is demoted and suspended for exercising his constitutional rights, we play right into the hands of those who want for America what Gilders has been fighting in the Netherlands.

Your voice in this matter will make a difference. If you haven’t yet signed and forwarded our petition, please don’t stand on the sidelines. Please make your voice count and sign our petition demanding Captain Fields’ reinstatement today! It takes only about one minute.

Later this summer we plan on heading out to Tulsa, holding a rally and news conference, and delivering the petition—and combining that with a massive telephone and email campaign to selected Tulsa officials.

Our goal is 40,000 names on the petition—and 50,000 would be even better! The good news is, that after only a little over a week, we’re 75% of the way to our goal.

Wilders not guilty on all charges

Thursday 23 June 2011

MP Geert Wilders has been cleared of charges of inciting hatred and discrimination by a court in Amsterdam.

The court ruled that some of Wilders' statements were insulting, shocking and on the edge of legal acceptability, but that they were made in the broad context of a political and social debate on the multi-cultural society.

The chief judge took some 20 minutes to dismiss the charges one by one, speaking in clear, non-legal language. There was applause from the public gallery when he had finished his statement.

The public prosecution department earlier joined Wilders’ legal team in calling for a not-guilty verdict, saying certain statements by the PVV party leader were insulting, but not criminal.

The department was forced to take the case by the high court after anti-racism campaigners protested at its refusal to prosecute Wilders.

The case began on October 4 last year, but collapsed after three weeks when a special legal panel ruled the judges may have shown partiality following a string of legal blunders. New judges were then sworn in and the case was heard again this year.
