“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ~

Muslim Lobbyist Represents U.S. at European Human Rights Conference
In the non-Muslim world, "human rights" refers to the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which affirms that all people – men and women -- are guaranteed individual rights. By contrast, the Muslim world defines "human rights" according to the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam, which holds that men and women are not equal and that it is the duty of men and women to follow the will of Allah, "in accordance with Sharia law."
New Threats to Free Speech
It was alarming to see the producer of the video, "Innocence of Muslims," being dragged away in the middle of the night by American police -- conveniently, after Muslim riots -- for a so-called "parole violation." The shameless administration probably wanted a photo-op of the producer in handcuffs to show and tell Muslim world, "I am tough on those who insult Mohammed."
Mr. Obama, the Future Belongs to Truth Tellers
Nonie Darwish:  “My heart sank when I heard president Obama’s recent statement at the UN: “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” It was difficult to hear the president of the United States declare to the world that critics of Mohammed are wrong, don’t have a cause, must not be heard, respected, taken seriously and will have no future in America.”

Qatar designs law banning criticism of Islam, plans to present it at UN

The ultimate goal of the initiative is to make it a criminal offense to discuss the motives and goals of the jihadis, thereby rendering us mute and defenseless in the face of their advancing threat, and to compel the West to adopt Sharia blasphemy laws, and ultimately the rest of Sharia as well.

Freedom from Islam

In 1941, FDR proposed his famous Four Freedoms. Some seventy years later it may be time to add a fifth freedom to that list. Freedom from Islam. Freedom from Islam would have seemed like an unlikely candidate back in 1941 when the worry was over secular ideologies, but as the West and its ideologies have fallen into a soporific state of decline, the fascism that concerns us no longer wears a military uniform or any of the trappings of nationalism, but instead wraps itself in the turban of religion.

The Middle East is Just the Opening Act

What happened in the Middle East is serious, but it might only be the opening act to an anti-American drama that could be unfolding for years if we do not change course; not in the Middle East but in South Asia, the land mass between Iran and China with familiar countries including India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The numbers alone are compelling: one in every five people on the planet lives in South Asia; one in every three Muslims calls it home; two nuclear powers angrily eye each other across a common South Asian border; and one of them, India, is an emerging economic giant.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper

This is how a defender of liberal democracy sounds.

Taliban's "Radio Mullah" sent jihad hit squad after Pakistani schoolgirl

The international outrage this incident is getting is ironic. Does Madonna know (or care), and does Ban Ki-moon know (or care) that Infidels suffer like this in Islamic lands on a regular basis?
