PHILADELPHIA – Founded in 1994, on the cusp of the internet revolution, the Middle East Forum is pleased to announce that it has just reached 100,000 "likes" on its Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Middle.East.Forum Under the guidance of Grayson Levy, the Forum has worked to take advantage of new media technologies. MEF President Daniel Pipes puts this evolution in perspective: "When MEF got started, we mailed or faxed out articles in batches of a hundred. The internet then changed our life. We began with websites and e-mail distribution lists, and now have 20 million page visits to our website. "We no longer depend on the media gatekeepers – many of which are hostile to our message – but can do much on our own." Many Facebook "likes" allow MEF to boost its social media credibility, and bring its information and message to new audiences.
