IT IS TIME TO THROW POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
IN THE GARBAGE WHERE IT BELONGS!
Earlier this
week, I spoke at a Benghazi symposium at The Heritage Foundation, hosted by
the Benghazi Accountability Coalition (BAC). The topic of the discussion was
the 2012 Benghazi attack. The title of the symposium was, “The Difference it Makes is
Accountability!”
ACT! for America has made the Benghazi issue one of our top priorities. Your generous support enables me to keep the issue alive on Capitol Hill and in the media until justice is served. Thank you for such a privilege. I never take it for granted, and always strive to win your trust and respect. Please click here to make a financial contribution today. Although the only focus of Monday’s Heritage event was getting to the bottom of the Benghazi attack and holding those responsible accountable for their actions (or lack of action), my panel was asked a rather unusual question by a woman in the audience, Saba ‘Queen’ Ahmed – a woman portraying herself as a young Muslim student concerned about the discrimination of Muslims. Ms. Ahmed has been described by many in the media as a “young Muslim law student.” However as is so often the case, there is just a little more to the story. The additional information we found about Ms. Ahmed begins to bring into more focus the possible real reason for her “question” at Monday’s event – and a possible explanation about why she attended the discussion and left immediately after her question and our exchange:
I am glad
that I had the opportunity to address Ms. Ahmed’s comments directly and
respectfully – even though they had nothing to do with the issue of the
event. It was an important educational moment.
I stand by how I closed my remarks on Monday: It is time we take political correctness and throw it in the garbage where it belongs, and start calling a spade a spade. We have so much at stake to remain silent! Can I count on your support today to help me keep my voice loud and clear in the media? Your financial support today will help us advance our cause and make a difference for our country. I have received letters and e-mails from all over the country in support of my response to Ms. Ahmed. I am humbled by, and appreciative of, this support and encouragement. And I want you to know that I intend to continue standing up to individuals like this who seek only to misrepresent the truth and who use the liberal media to spread falsehoods about the Islamist threat that surrounds us. They must be called out and I intend to continue doing just that. But I am also committed to bringing a top notch PR firm to aggressively and successfully get our collective voice out. The Islamist lobby and CAIR are already achieving this through their own powerful PR firms. Why can’t we? Are they more committed to their cause than we love our country? Absolutely not. I know I am speaking to every single person reading this e-mail. They raise money in gold coins, we raise money in pennies and have to depend on the generosity of people like you – patriotic Americans who love this country. We need to have our voice magnified a million times by doing whatever we have to in order to get our message out. We need to have Op-Eds published in papers across the country. We need to have press releases going to every media outlet in the nation on a regular basis. We need to have a publicist booking media events and press conferences and interviews on a daily basis. I need your help. We need patriots who are willing to commit to stand with us with a monthly pledge so we can know what funding we have coming, and can make decisions accordingly. I am writing you from the heart. I need your support. ACT! for America needs your support. We need to attend, sponsor, and participate in as many events in Washington, DC as possible. CAIR has their own building a block away from the U.S. Capitol – we don’t. This is about to change – with your support and commitment, we are going to get our voice out to the media and elected officials like never before. Can I count on you today to say: Yes, Brigitte, I will stand with you. I love my country. I want to help you get OUR voices out to millions of people around the country, elected officials, the media, and the public. But again, I need your help. Without your support, I would never be able to attend events like the Heritage Benghazi discussion. Please click here to make a financial contribution to support our efforts. Your support enables me and my small staff to work on a daily basis to protect our country and defend our democratic freedoms. We have accomplished so much, but there is still much to be done and, through your continued support, ACT! for America’s efforts will continue to make a difference – for this generation and all those to come. Always devoted, Brigitte Gabriel Founder and CEO ACT! for America
