Join Us in Honoring a National Hero
LT Jason C. Redman

We are proud and honored to announce
LT Jason C. Redman as a 2014 Valley Forge Award recipient, to be honored at our National Conference Dinner Gala, the evening of September 11th at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

LT Redman is a true American hero. A U.S. Army Ranger and a retired Navy SEAL, he was shot 8 times, including in his face, just two weeks before he was due to return home from Iraq. He sustained his injuries going after a senior Al Qaeda leader when he walked into a very well planned and executed ambush. “I almost bled out right there on the battlefield,” he said.

He has undergone 37 surgeries in four years. His story is that of heroism, inspiration and hope for others to overcome adversity.

While in a hospital room recovering, LT Redman wrote a note saying, “If you are coming into this room with sorrow or to feel sorry for my wounds, go elsewhere. The wounds I received, I got in a job I love, doing it for people I love, supporting the freedom of a country I deeply love. I am incredibly tough and will make a full recovery…This room you are about to enter is a room of fun, optimism and intense rapid growth. If you are not prepared for that GO ELSEWHERE.”

LT Redman explained his optimism saying “Within the first few days that’s what I said. I said I’m going to lift up the people around me. I’m going to drive forward. You know, you can lead from any situation and I said I was going to do it from that hospital bed.”

His experience led him to create Wounded Wear, a Non-Profit organization that provides clothing kits and clothing modifications to America’s wounded warriors.

Please join us at our 2014 National Conference this September 10-12, so that you, too, can show your appreciation to LT Redman. The evening of our Dinner Gala on September 11
th, we will stand united in a demonstration of support and appreciation for all that he has done for this great nation.
