Eye on Iran: Rouhani Reaffirms Iran's Firm Stance on Nuclear Rights

Join UANI           Top Stories Fars (Iran): "Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined that Iran will powerfully continue the talks with the six world powers (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany), but it would never give up its inalienable nuclear rights. 'We will sit at the negotiating table with the world powers with our distinguished and powerful diplomats who have sufficient experience in different areas and God willingly we will protect our nuclear rights and will bring back calm and welfare to the people,' President Rouhani said, addressing a large gathering of people in the Northwestern city of Ardebil on Wednesday morning. He noted that although Iran is under the West's sanctions and the government has made good progress in removal of the embargoes, the obstacles still exist. President Rouhani said that the structure of the sanctions against Iran has cracked, and added, 'We will release $7 billion of Iran's frozen assets by November 24.' 'When I took office last year, I vowed to decrease the inflation rate to below 25 percent by the end of the current calendar year, but I now promise that the inflation will fall below 20 percent by the mention time,' Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Aug. 20, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported. He went on to note that the country struggled with an inflation rate of 40 percent last year. An impeachment motion passed by the assembly accused Reza Faraji-Dana, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, of allowing students expelled from university following anti-government unrest in 2009 to return to campus. The vote, reported by official media, marks the first major ousting from office of a government minister since Rouhani's landslide election victory in 2013. At least 10 prisoners were executed in the Gehzelhesar prison of Karaj according to the 'human rights activists' news agency' (HRANA). The executions took place early today August 18, said the report.
