'Some of their blood should be shed' Former Army chief says train refugees to fight ISIS

SYRIAN refugees should be trained and armed to take on so-called Islamic State in their own land, a former Army chief said today.

Former Chief of the General Staff Lord Dannatt said combat troops were needed on the ground to recapture Syrian and Iraqi territory from IS, but these should be local forces trained and equipped in much greater numbers by the international community.
In addition, as so many young men were among the thousands fleeing Syria to Europe, there must be an urgent programme to organise, train and arm men still living in refugee camps in the region to fight for their own villages, towns and cities.
